Arsenal legend, Paul Merson has predicted that it will be difficult for Man United to finish in the top four of the Premier League next season.
Merson made this known in a chat with Sky Sports, where he said that Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag will face a huge rebuilding job at Old Trafford.
“If [Erik] Ten Hag managed for the rest of his life, it’ll never be harder than what he’s taking on now. This is a massive job. It is the biggest club in the world and he is taking over when they are in disarray.

“He needs to bring in as many players as he can because this team is not going to get you in the top four. They need to bring certain players in – (Frenkie) De Jong at Barcelona, he’s a good footballer – and then you move on from there. They need at least three or four players just to make a challenge for fourth place.”
Merson wants Ten Hag to sign at least four new players this summer transfer window in order to challenge for the Premier League top four.
Ten Hag recently joined Man United, who finished in the sixth position on the Premier League table last season, after five incredibly successful seasons at Ajax.
