Manchester City look set to be without Benjamin Mendy for their Premier League decider against Brighton on Sunday.
The France international has suffered a setback in his recovery from a knee injury and reports have suggested the former Monaco star has gone under the knife already to rectify the problem.
Sunday’s clash with the Seagulls looks like it will come far too soon for Mendy, while the 24-year-old is also a big doubt for the FA Cup final against Watford on May 18.

Meanwhile, Fernandinho, who missed the last three games due to a knee injury, could return for the trip to the south coast but Kevin De Bruyne is still a doubt as he continues to recover from a hamstring injury. City head to their final game of the season at Brighton on Sunday a point clear of Liverpool, who host Wolves, at the top of the Premier League table.
