Marcelo could become teammate with Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi, as struggling Leicester City have been linked with a surprise move for the Real Madrid legend.
Marcelo, 34-year, is a free agent after his 15-year stay at the Bernabeu came to an emotional end in the summer.
And according to Spanish journalist Marti Miras, Marcelo could join up with the Foxes on a one-year contract, claiming a deal to be very close.
Brendan Rodgers’ team have looked like they’ve needed more players, following their poor start to the season.
On Wednesday French defender Wesley Fofana left departed Leicester for Chelsea.

On deadline day the Foxes finally announced spending money on a player, for the first time this summer, when centre back Wout Faes joined from Reims, finally replacing Fofana.
Schalke midfielder Amine Harit and Atalanta’s Jeremie Boga have both been linked with Rodgers’ team, but it’s another move that is now capturing the imagination.
And now Miras is reporting that the Premier League side are ‘very close’ to signing Marcelo and are just a medical away from signing the Brazilian.
