New Napoli defender Kostas Manolas is confident Napoli have what it takes to overcome Juventus in the Serie A this season. The Greece international decided to end his association with Roma this summer, after a five-year stay in the capital.
He was unable to help Roma challenge for the league title, while Napoli did come close on a number of occasions. Juventus have won eight league titles in a row, with Napoli finishing second during four of those successes. With that in mind, Manolas believes his new club have what it takes to go all the way. “I chose Napoli because they are not far off being as strong as Juventus,” Manolas told Sky Sport Italia.
“This team can bridge the gap and the club is trying to bring in other talented players. I chose Napoli because I want to win silverware. “In football, anything is possible, including the Scudetto. I want to do my best and try to help this team win trophies.”
