Sadio Mane, the African man of the moment. I can see the handwriting on the wall that 2019 is your year. It has been signed, sealed and delivered (this is not Nnamdi Kanu’s own though) that you are winning African Player of year 2019. AFCON tournament is between Senegal and Egypt. Who concur?
If Nigeria vs Senegal ever happen in Egypt, l am sure the Nigerians can stop this guy. Nigerians, as a people has a way of stopping African super stars historically.
Edoman, not only African stars, but also world stars. We have performed well, even against arguably the best of them, Messi. I watched Messi put in another magnificent performance today against Lyon, and when you consider how talented Messi is, you can’t help but appreciate just how well our boys performed at the world cup against this guy. That we survived 3 world cup matches in the last decade against Messi without being disgraced or embarrassed, is highly commendable. In fact, the argument can be made that in recent times, Messi has been the reason why we have not been beating Argentina. The two times we played them in his absence, we not only beat them, we spanked them. 4-1 in Lagos and 4-2 in Russia. Yesterday, CR7 almost single handedly dragged Juve into the Champions’ League Q/Final, with a splendid hattrick. Messi likely saw that game, and responded with a fantastic performance today. Great to see the world’s best asking questions of each other, and reminding the rest of us of just how good they are.
Indeed, Mane is going to be a strong contender for the 2019 APOY. However, I think Salah is very much in with a shout. He may not be scoring at the moment, but he makes up for that with numerous assists. The guy is right up there with the world’s best, in my opinion.
U Guy’s has spoken well I bet u those Guy’s won’t do anything special during this coming Afcon in June… Unknown players will shine during this Afcon game in June..Or what u Guy’s think?
