Mason Greenwood will be a Manchester United player after the club announced their retained list on Wednesday following the 2023/24 season.
Greenwood has not played for United since January 2022 with the club concluding after an internal investigation that he would not continue to play for United after being charged with attempted rape, controlling behaviour and assault in early 2022.
The charges were dropped in February 2023 and Greenwood has denied all allegations.
Greenwood has spent the 23/24 campaign on loan at La Liga side Getafe where he scored 10 goals in 36 matches.
According to reports several Spanish club are interested in signing the 22-year-old on a permanent deal this summer.
But he remains on United’s books with his contract at Old Trafford not set to expire until 2025.
There has been some suggestion that the club will negotiate a new deal to try and get a higher fee for the academy graduate.
