Ruben Amorim has been dealt a potential blow ahead of his first match as Manchester United head coach following the international break, talkSPORT reports.
Amorim will officially begin his reign at Old Trafford on November 24 away to Ipswich Town at Portman Road, but will go into that game without one of his players.
United defender Victor Lindelof hobbled off the pitch during Sweden’s 2-1 win over Slovakia on Saturday.
Despite his 266 appearances for the Red Devils, fans would know the centre-back has struggled for match time this season, playing only 58 minutes through four substitute appearances in the league.
Most likely, Amorim does not intend to start the Swede but with injury worries Lindelof could have possibly upgraded his role within the side.
