Manchester United have confirmed that new signing Leny Yoro has undergone successful surgery for a foot injury.
“Manchester United defender Leny Yoro has had a successful surgery on his foot injury,” United said in a statement.
“Our summer signing from Lille sustained the injury during the team’s recent friendly match against Arsenal in Los Angeles, USA.
“Yoro’s rehabilitation starts now and we look forward to the 18-year-old returning to fitness in around three months.”
Yoro completed a deal worth €70m to join the Premier League club from Ligue 1 club Lille.
United won the race to sign the young defender with PSG, Liverpool and Real Madrid all showing an interest but ultimately accepting defeat as he joined the Manchester club.
