Former Premier League star Chris Sutton believes Manchester City can cope with the absence of Rodri.
The Spaniard is facing the possibility of not featuring again this season after going off with a ligament injury in the game against Arsenal.
The game ended 2-2 against 10-man Arsenal after John Stone scored in the 98th minute.
Sutton, Premier League winner with Blackburn in 1995, expressed confidence that Mateo Kovacic can step in for the injured midfielder.
“I don’t think anyone can fill that role like Rodri but Mateo Kovacic is as able as any replacement out there,” Sutton was quoted by BBC.
“Man City will find a way of coping, they always do.”
Rodri’s injury would be a worry for Pep Guardiola who was without Kevin de Bruyne and Nathan Ake for the game against Arsenal.
