Manchester City have broken Manchester United‘s Champions League record thanks to their 5-0 win against Sparta Prague on matchday 3 on Wednesday.
A brace from Erling Haaland, and goals from Phil Foden, Matheus Nunes and John Stones secured the dominance win for Pep Guardiola’s men.
City have now set a new record for unbeaten games in the history of the European Cup/UEFA Champions League, going 26 without defeat (W18 D8).
They broke the record set by rivals Man United between 2007 and 2009 (a run of 25).
City currently occupy third position on seven points after three games players in the revamped Champions League.
