Manchester City have reached an agreement with RC Lens over the transfer of Uzbekistan international Abdukodir Khusanov.
Following his performances at the start of the current campaign, Khusanov has garnered significant interest.
The 20-year-old centre-back has been courted by the likes of Real Madrid, Newcastle United and of course Manchester City, who look set to secure Khusanov’s signature.
After just a few months as a starter at Lens, the Ligue 1 side were keen to cash in on their prospect, handing a mandate to Jorge Mendes, who was tasked with finding a destination for the young defender.
That destination looks to be the Etihad Stadium. As per Foot Mercato (via Get French Football), Manchester City have seen a €50m offer, bonuses included, accepted by Les Sang et Or.
Khusanov himself has been convinced of the move to the reigning Premier League champions and, bar a last-minute outbidding, the deal could be concluded in the coming hours.
