Super Eagles defender, Calvin Bassey has described Man United defender, Harry Maguire as a top quality defender.
The Nigerian international made this known in an interview with The Mirror, where he said that the England international was one of the players that he look up to as a defender.
Despite huge criticising from some section of the media, Bassey noted that Maguire still remains an exceptional talent.

“At the time I was coming through the ranks and he was one of the players I looked up to and still do, he’s a quality player,” Bassey told the Mirror.
“Now that I’m playing on the opposite side, he plays on the opposite side, just giving me some advice like any top player would.
“He was incredible at Leicester and still is. To do what he did for Leicester was amazing.”
Recall that Maguire has been constantly criticised by Manchester United fans for his indifferent form since his arrival at the Old Trafford.
The Englishman was stripped of his captaincy by manager Erik Ten Hag at the beginning of the current campaign.
Jacob Harry Maguire was born on 5 March 1993 in Sheffield, South Yorkshire and was raised in the nearby village of Mosborough. His brothers, Joe and Laurence, are also footballers.
He attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Primary School in Spinkhill and St Mary’s Roman Catholic High School in Chesterfield. From 7 to 16 years old, Maguire played as central midfielder for Sheffield United’s academy.
