Leeds Rhinos hooker Shaun Lunt says he will not be at the club for the 2020 season following talks with the hierarchy. Lunt joined midway through the season from Hull KR in a swap deal which saw Matt Parcell head the other way to Craven Park.
He played regularly for the Rhinos as they battled to safety towards the end of the campaign under Richard Agar. The 32-year-old played six times for the club in 2019 in what was his second spell at Headingley following a previous loan move in 2012.

However, after having talks with Agar about plans for 2020, Lunt has confirmed he will not be staying with the club on a permanent basis. “I just think Richard wanted to go elsewhere and look at other options,” Lunt said on BBC Radio Leeds’ Rugby League Panel.
“I’ve got a lot of rods in the fire at the moment. I can’t wait to get back in, signed for a team and actually have a pre-season.” Meanwhile, KR have handed a new deal to teenage half-back Mikey Lewis that will run through until the end of the 2022 season.
