Ademola Lookman was on target for Atalanta which, unfortunately, was not enough as they fell to a 3-2 defeat at home to Napoli in Saturday’s Serie A game.
Lookman took his tally in the league to 10 goals, five assists in 18 games this season.
The reigning CAF Player of the Year needs one more goal to equal his league tally for last season (11 goals).
Atalanta have now gone five straight games without a win, recording three draws and two defeats.
For Antonio Conte’s Napoli, the win against Atalanta took their winning run to six consecutive games.
Mateo Retegui gave Atalanta the lead in the 16th minute but goals from Matteo Politano (27th minute) and Scott McTominay (40th minute) put Napoli 2-1 ahead.
In the 55th minute Lookman drew Atalanta level after driving towards the Napoli defence before hitting a low left foot shot into the bottom corner.
However, Romelu Lukaku got what proved to be the winner in the 78th minute.
The defeat leaves Atalanta in third position on 43 points and seven points behind leaders Napoli.
