Leicester City hero Ademola Lookman has praised his teammates following Tuesday’s 1-0 win against Liverpool at the King Power Stadium, reports Completesports.com.
Lookman took the place of Hamza Choudhury in the 56th minute and scored the winning goal three minutes later.
Mohamed Salah missed a penalty for Liverpool in the first half, while the home team put up a strong defensive display to secure maximum points in the game.

“It’s a very important three points for us and a big performance as a team as well,”the winger told BBC.com after the game.
“I’m not sure if that’s what [Brendan Rodgers] planned but for me it was to come on and help the team. We did that and we got the three points.
“I think I received the ball and did something which was out of the ordinary a little when I got in the box. I took the shot early and managed to get it past the goalkeeper.
“It was just to show our character. The manager talks a lot about character and we showed a lot tonight to get the three points to show our defensive and offensive qualities.”

Eguavoen, Salisu, Alloy, and Aigbogun are just a bunch of stooges put together by Picnic to collect bribes and infiltrate SE with nepotism. A sane and discipline coach will never drop top performers like Adeleye, Akpo, Lookman, Ebuehi, Amoo, and Desser for Noble, Ndah, Musa, Shehi, Nwakali and Ighalo.
Corrupt Picnic is written all over the list.
@Larry… Can we take this assessment of yours player by player? I give it to Akpoguma, Dessers and Ebuehi.
Where is Ebuehi needed? Rightback or Leftback… We have those positions properly covered… Awaziem, Aina can do more than a good job in Ebuehi’s absence.
Akpoguma… at Hoffenheim he plays Rightback and play it decently but Bundesliga is not AFCON, or African football where some aggressive plays won’t be called by the centre referee, have we tried Akpoguma at Right back? Yes… Versus Algeria and Sierra Leone friendlies he did not impress… but he is one for the future… Part of the question we have to answer is where do we deploy this individual? Rohr never played him at CB and even though I feel he deserves to be in Afcon squad… do we want to pair him with Balogun or Umeruo? I asked this because Akpoguma, Ekong and Balogun are all slow defenders… I won’t criticize inclusion of Ndah because the guy is decent and AFCON isn’t beyond the level of PSL starting player.
The only individual I would have love not to be taken is Noble if in truth he is not the best goalkeeper in the league… With Paul Onuachu fit I felt recalling Ighalo wasn’t necessary because we gave players who can do the job of he isn’t there but since he came back there isnt anything one can do…
Nwakali is used to the Nigerian game and he has been involved now for atleast 3years of steady professional elite level football… yes elite level because Spanish Segunda is stronger than Jupiler League of Belgium, and I will rate it at same level of Turkish league of not higher so Nwakali has what it takes and I think we have seen more than enough of what the likes of Iwobi and Iheanacho can do in midfield.
Musa is still decent, but we don’t want key players sitting on the bench… It’s always better to have an option good enough to start a game than one who is decent and had to go into the squad to start from bench… We want starter-calibre players to vie for spots in our squad.
Missing AFCON can be a blessing for Ejaria, Dessers, Amoo and Lookman. Some players will flop and some will shine and after Afcon we expect further shakeup before playoffs and if we are successful Qatar 2022 proper.
There is no cause for alarm…
Ademola Lookman should have been taken to AFCON by the Super Eagles coaches as he has been cleared finally by FIFA. I do not know why coach Eguavoen will drop such a talented player playing in the English premiership from the final list of 28 players. He would have added guile and vigour to the Super Eagles attack. I hope this consortium of local coaches led by Eguavoen and Salisu knows what they are doing although I must say I lack confidence in them.
The Nigerian coach who refused to include Lookman is a bloody fool. Can the coach put his hand on the Bable and swear that they did not take BRIBE from anybody to deny Lookman his rightful place in AFCON? I will plant a bomb on your ass if we lose to Egypt in Cameroon. To omit a player like Lookman in this Nations cup is a sin against the Nigerian people. Rohr will not take a Bribe and would have named Lookman. Bribe eater nor go better in life.
I must say this is ridiculous,it must be a joke who leaves a player like Lookman in an expanded 28 man list??Unbelievable, shocking!!
Thanks to @Jimmybal and @Omo9ja their short term local content coach has cost us a lot already. Who will sacrifice Akpoguma, Ebuehi and lookman for unknown quantity Ndah, Noble, and the past glory Nwakali?
