Liverpool are officially out of the Premier League title race after Manchester City thrashed Fulham 4-0 at Craven Cottage on Saturday afternoon.
The Reds were mathematically still in the race going into this weekend’s fixtures.
But City ended the dream thanks to a dominant win against the Cottagers.
Liverpool, on 78 points, cannot catch up again with City who are now on 85 points and move to the top.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are third in the league table while Arsenal are second on 83 points.
The Gunners can reclaim top spot if they beat Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.
Mikel Arteta’s men must win their two remaining games and hope City drop points in their next two games against Tottenham and West Ham.
