Simon Moses playing Rubbish today…….It didn’t take much to figure that they were going to exploit our right back…
Unbelievable but this guy use to play very good at Nantes..nothing good comes from his legs whenever is with National team Ejuke is a starter pls, Musa, Moses zero..
So quick!!! 1-0 against Nigeria
When Rohr go understand say this Okoye no be good Keeper? CPV 1 Ning 0
I have to be brutally honest with you, guy. Okoye is not it all. The only thing he does well is to play goal kick. If I have my way, Akpeyi will man the post for me. Maduka is over rated. A proper coach will not invite him for friendly talk less of the match of this magnitude. I think our search for a goaltender has not started. I hope we will realize this before we play the nations cup with this “keeper no dey house”
Maduka ooo!!! Goal was offside sha. If they like let them continue running around without purpose. Musa and Moses
Is Moses Simon really a winger? Dude can’t even put in a good cross… This Cape Verdeans have figured us out… Let us hope we come back in this game… Our guys keep raising their hands up for referee to whistle as if they are in class raising hand to answer a question… Maduka no suppose be our number one yet… But we are here… Watching! All I know is that beating this Cape Verde in Nigeria will not even be funny!
Okay General CAPTAIN MUSA!!!! Over to you show why you deserve to be captain
Gooooal for nigeria. Osimhen!!
Nig 1 cape 1
OSIIIHIMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ejuke is my man!!
With what Ejuke is doing he deserves to continue with Super Eagles… Let politics of invitation stop for merit… Ejuke is a direct player… We need players to make opposition panic. Bonnke made just one mistake from that drop-ball from corner kick… he is doing the job of a destroyer in midfield. On grass these players will show themselves better but I like how Kingsley Michael is keeping it simple… the guy has matured with confidence… Kingsley Michael needs to stay in Super Eagles now… I see him playing even better with Ndidi, if you see a midfielder your eyes won’t lie to you… Bonnke needs to show more of what he is capable of doing in subsequent invites. If we come away with a draw in this game it’s a good score but we must win Cape Verde at home and pick maximum points from all remaining matches. This Cape Verde team can beat Liberia home and away and we have to be on our toes throughout these qualifiers!
The super Eagles are good, except for musa and Simon.
You see this Chidera boy eh OMO THE BOY SABI BALL!!! LEAVE STORY !!!!
I hope Rohr and NFF don’t regret sacrifising Kalu and Ebuehi for MUSA!!!!! Musa is a heeeeee Goat!!
Where can I watch this game,?
You can watch the match on YouTube FIFA TV. God bless Nigeria!!!
Musa now that you’ve gotten your 100 caps. I think it’s about time to start considering retirement. You can’t cheat nature. Musa is no 29 years old man cmon
This bonke no sabi play ball abeg…
Theres nothing special about this cape verde with our full team..we will see dem off easily
Please guys, where can I watch the match. Pleaseeeeee.
Ah Ah!! Wait o! what’s going on here? Awaz collect studs fully for head, very dangerous foul, especially with head injuries and concussion being such a huge thing these days yet that swegbe of a so called ref dey tell am mek he get up?? Chaii, please am I the only person seeing what I’m seeing? That so called referee needs to be suspended and sent off for more training before he can be allowed to referee at such a high level again..abi na which kind thing be this o!
Download nfftv on playtore
Ejuke is balling. Man of the match so far!!
OK o, I am convinced, gentlemen (ladies too), Ejuke is a player and must be SE mainstay from now on. Oga Rohr take note
Ejuke na jewel ooo. Player. I want to see Moses sent out by rohr. I believe onuachu can overpower this caoe Verde team. Oh COVID-19 where is your sting.
U can watch it on Hesgoal.com
You can watch the match at http://www.hesgoal.com or on the fifa channel on youtube. But am using hesgoal that is simpler for me.
This Cape Verde team sucks, there is no reason why Nigeria should not win this game!!
Isn’t it obvious that Moses Simon is not improving?
And the reason why Musa is starting this match is under serious thought.
The midfield is totally off the mark.
Credit goes to Oshimen, Collins,Ejuke, Shehu is trying.
Maduka, any small shot at him na goal.
I will be back
And that their goal was a stone cold offside!
Where was VAR??
No! that ref has a lot to answer for.
Does incompetence of this continent know no bounds!??
We played very well in the first half but Sehu, Musa and Moses Simon are having a very bad game today. The guy called Bonke us no no to me but that guy in the number 14 has quality. Ejuke has just played himself into SE first team abeg that guy na onyeball. We can win this game if Simon and Musa raise their game to complement the effort of ejuke and Osimhen in that attack.
Nigeria should relax, this is almost a completely changed line up to the one that played Liberia.. They are not so bad.. My only problem is this game is shehu and musa.. Shehu obviously is more of a midfielder than a right back.. I prefer awaziwm at the right back to him but awaziem is doing a great job at center back.. He is the greatest beneficiary in the last friendly games against Cameroon.. Those games has built his confidence as a center back in the Nigerian team. The first goal was Shehu’s fault. where was he? That a Simon had to do his job. Obviously musa should retire soon he has past his prime.
We are currently playing with short 3,Musa, Bonke and Moses. They have no business on the field for now. Hopefully they will redeem theirselves in the second half. Up Eagles.
Add Shehu to that list
Thank God that Awaziem still on his feet. However, we can see now that we don’t have goalies over the five years.
I have said before the, if Nigeria wanted to win today’s match, Uzoho must be on the post. Now, we are seeing it ba?
This is Nwakali game. He knows how to give long ball and he also good at taking freekicks. That is what is missing in this game.
Lastly, I am going to say it again, Oga Rohr should make early substitutions on else, no hope of scoring goals because in this type of game, we need sharp shooters at the 81 yards box of the Cape Verde.
We should be able to win this game.
We should thank God for that Osimeh scored. Good luck Super Eagles. God is in control. God bless Nigeria!!!
Guys, that Bonke guy hasn’t lived up to the hype, however i think he is just nervous considering its his 1st match for SE. Kingsley Michael is holding his own in the midfield. Ejuke is a baller and creating all kinds of problem for caoe verde. Maduka yab ooo how can u let in a goal from the near side, his positioning was poor, very poor, their only shot on goal scored u, chai we still no get #1 yet. Simon can’t cross to save his life, I can forgive him due to the pitch but he has been poor. Their goal wasn’t offside as I believe Collins on the far side kept the guy on. But the referee made a big mistake as we should have gotten a penalty for the high boot on Awaziem. Overall 9ja is playing better especially after the 1st 20 mins, we started dominating them. Bonke just needs to calm down and play his game, he is too nervous and always passing the ball backwards too often and he is too close to Michael, his job is to cover the backline. Anyhow I see us winning
I don’t trust Maduka Okoye.Cape Verde goalkeeper would have saved that ball that beat Okoye. In the case of Musa I said it in my post he’s now a shadow of himself.I watched him play for Kano pillars and super eagles lately,he doesn’t bring nothing meaningful he hasn’t got the legs anymore I think he should retire honourably.
Had we come with our full squad this game would have been so easy but the positive about their unavailability is the discovery of the likes of Ejuke who has shown like a million star.
I still hope we can best Cape Verde we have grown into the game and our new midfielders are ticking in.
I concur that we should just calm down, regain composure and carry on playing the passes and making good use of the ball, these are easy pickings especially on the counter…oya lets go. but in my own opinion o, many from this team have staked very strong claims to be in the first 11 and thats for sure
The goalkeeper I have seen 2 huge mistakes in 2 huge games now and that is a high level of risk, Kingsley too has done well, my choice of gaolie for the SE is, was and remains Ezenwa.
Please remind me what club does Ezenwa play for now?
Ezenwa is currently at Katsina Utd
This is the best time to make subs. Do ur subs before it is too late. God bless Nigeria!!!
GR bring Onuachu for Musa bikonu he is not covering himself with glory. He can’t pass, shoot or outrun these young guys from cape verde. Or bring in onyekuru please for Musa. This sub tin is what people have been saying as regards to GR. Make timely subs GR.
You are making subs now? Well.
That is what is needed. Bravo My son Onyekuru. Let gooo
Wey all does people wey to over sabi, Una no dey see how mnatch don change, wit Onyekuru”s introduction
Lmao goal of the week
GOOAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!
GOAL!!!!!!!! We’ll take them any how dem come!
Oya lets go!
Ahhhh you hat did u just watch now? Was that a free kick or what? Lollll
This is what a SUPER EAGLES Team B should look like and even much more better, especially with the arrays of stars we have scattered all over European Leagues. Not those disgraceful football market commodities showcased against Mexico
The singular motive of the authorities has always been to promote substandard home based players, showcase them on the national scenes and cash in on them
Look at the subtle and systematic strategy deployed by bringing in Joseph Yobo so he can replace Gernot Rhor whenever they would want to part ways with him. So he can be the obedient servant that Rohr isn’t.
No theoretically training, no practical training,no prior coaching experience, not even a FIFA Grade C coaching certificate. Nothing whatsoever.
Little wonder he stylishly avoided being in charge of the Home Based Eagles for the game against Mexico because it was going to be such an international display of his gross ineptitude
As much as I’m not against his career growth but Super Eagles Assistance should not be the starting point for him if there are no skeletons in the cupboard
Big kudos to the Super Eagles and Gernot Rhor for staking the claims even in the absence of most of the regulars. I encourage them to only build on today’s win
Goooaal for Nigeria, an own goal by cape verde. the pressure is too much for cape verde.
Wey all does people wey to over sabi, Una no dey see how mnatch don change, wit Onyekuru”s introduction… YES @Dr Drey and @UBFE I am calling you out Musa’s Girlfriends
This Lopez guy is really on Osimhem!!!
Look I am saying, this referee is dangerously incompetent! He didnt even see another potential head injury!!
Seriously?? Are they going to let this foolish “referee” get away with murder???
Ejuke no play anything this second half
Maduka hasn’t been convincing today
Not just today. He’s lucky the defence has been covering him
Yes, its looking like this goalie is the weakest link, looks very nervy and shaky and that useless ref definitely has a problem with Nigeria believe me!
Maduke doesn’t exhume confidence at all
Hats off to Awaziem man has come a long way from his debut in that loss to SA. He was solid.
Eventhough we won, it is clear we missed the UK based players.. ALOT of poor passes and giving away possession of the ball. Rohr once again go dey behave live snail when it comes to substitution, he for change musa and simon since start of second half.. God help us, It’s well..
Huuuhuuuhuuuuuuuu!!!!!!!! Rohr has done it again. Shame shame shameeeee….to you never do well lots. 3 points making it 6points in two now in d kitty. Big big congratulations to Rohr, the crew n wonderful SE team. Truly truly proud of this man GERNOT ROHR. YOU ARE A MESSIAH TO NIGERIA’S FOOTBALL.
Hahahahaha if some people get shame they should just shut their gut on this forum till after Qatar 2022…..LMAOOO.
All the “these 2 matches will test our readiness for the world cup people”…..LMAOoo
All the “how will Rohr field Bonke and Kingsley vs CapeVerde” people
All the “I dont want to sound like an alarmist people”
All the “we are waiting for the SE to go to Cape Verde and lose” people.
Agents of darkness praying for the SE to lose so they can have a little happiness in their miserable lives at least this once or twice in a year……LMAOOoo
Please tell them that our bench dominated and defeated Cape Verde on their folded pitch in a world cup qualifier…..LMAOOoo…the same CapeVerde that hammered Cameroon 3-1.
Only a naïve hater wouldnt accept the worst we would come out of CapeVerde with is a draw….LMAOOOo
Brodaman Dr Drey, I am struggling to contain my joy. Just see how JEHOVAH GOD DEY PUBLICLY DISGRACE DEVIL N his agents. We dey here dey follow this team with prayers. Hahahaha….haha. Nothing go do Rohr n this team. NA SO SO VICTORY VICTORY N VICTORY. NA BABA GOD TALK AM NOR BE ME. THAT ROHR NA HUMBLE MAN, D SECRET OF HIS SUCCESS. AWUUUUUURAAAAAAAAA….THE SOUND OF THE ALFA …HIGH HIGH HIGH….
Hehehehehe…..the same way God don shame all of them wey dey wish from bottom of their hearts make we lose vs Capeverde make dem for fit get small happiness for their lives, na so God go still shame all of them wey they pray for “poor AFCON” for us. Almighty God has his own way of fighting for the just.
There shall be no peace or happiness for the wicked.
We are waiting for them to come and give us excuses that we played “weak teams”…..LMAOooo…..as if it was Brazil and Argentina their guadiolas were playing during our days of sorrows…..LMAOOOo.
Dem go still pick dustbin from north pole go south pole by the time we eventually qualify for Qatar 2022……all of them….LMAOOoo
YES OOOO Rohr finally did it he, He finally got the Courage to listen to well wishing Nigerian critics like Myself @Jimmyball, @Omo9ja (to an extent) etc apologies if I never named you but you know your intelligent seleves, who QUESTIONED (?) his tactics and his inability to hall Musa off early in crucial games.. okay i get it Musa needed his 100 caps. okay o he has finally got it. Thank you Jehovah maybe we can finally see his backside now. Back to the idssue at hand..
You see Rohr adoring fans can’t take credit for this victory infact that would be criminal considering all that we have passed through on this forum CSN over the last 3 years or so call it 4. if you look at it from all angles the only reason Rohr won today is because he did what we his critics have been advising for years. Make substitutions early and haul off Musa if he is not contributing because I am sure even his “so called Fans” can now see after today he adds no Value to our attacking play. Also He utilized Onyekuru early a player we his critics always clamoured for granted injury to some key players but he took his chance, look at the result he also started Ejuke a very talented player who if I can remember clearly is another player that WE his critics clamored for and questioned his ommssion from Match days at the expenses of Musa in the past and also his late introduction in some games, what happened his adoring fans were at our throats at every angle.
In the end, I think it is clear that Rohr won an away game against a tough team because, he did all the tactical things right Today. his only mistake was starting Musa and sing Kalu as a scape goat for Musa because had Kalu started against the Cape Verde team or was introduced early the score line could have been 4-1.
Again it will be highly CRIMINAL for any Rohr fans on CSN to even stretch their fingers and lay any praises on Rohr without acknowledging that he performed what the Nigerian Critics have been asking him to Today. Long may this kind of tactical display from Rohr today continue. Also I am happy that Rohr finally seen how he has been shooting himself in the foot with Musa because the Impact of Onyekuru was like from gear 1 to 5.
Guys pls stop the critism for now and appreciat3 these guys. That pitch was not better than the one in Lag and yet they won.Love These guys
They will never stop it cos their hate for Rorh has blinded their eyes. Up Eagles
Technically , we are thru to the final stage of the qualifiers , CAR will definitely give us atleast 4 points .
Na next stage we dey look so , but abeg why are we lacking a good goalie ,abi we offend Enyeama or Ikeme ???
4 What…??? Are you kidding me…? Cameroon where CAR play their home games is not on the UK redlist o, and they are playing in one of the newest pitches on the African continent. No jupiter or agents of evil can stop us from bagging our 6 points home and away vs CapeVerde.
We are qualifying again with games to spare……LMAOOOoo…let those who want to kill themselves because of Rohr’s job go ahead and jump in the path of a moving train.
Just be modest like my Coachee, Oga Rohr LOL
Well done Sir Dr Drey
No C.A.R.will give us 6 points.I do not see a draw for them against our A team.
They are not on the red list so both games will be played with our full squad.
I believe the other game between Cape Verde and Liberia, both teams will cancel out each other. With Nigeria bagging 12 points we will be home and dry.
The last games should be executed by fringe players as well those that have switched nationality.
Ikemeeeee I missed that guy, I almost cry as am typing this
Up Eagles!!!! Up Nigeria!!!! Yes we are Nigeria!!!! We are top of the group!!!! Another round of qualifiers that might end with 3 games to spare Lmao!!! On soggy pitch in Lagos the boys came out with 3 points. On another soggy synthetic pitch in Mindelo the boys came out with 3 points. Oya Ẹyin Oluya over to you.
Omo9ja how market
Hahahahaha……he is still eating humble pies at the moment.
Be patient, when he has eaten enough to last for another 1 month, he will come here to give us his beer parlor senselessness and analyses….LMAOOoo.
Hahahahaha AyPhilly….na real awon oluya…..LMAOOoo. Awon ti eledumare o ni s’anfani fun
Let’s line up behind the SE. A big Thank You for this spectacular display. Happy the way noisy CV has been shut up. They scared me with their boasting!
Hahahahah my god
Hmmm…. So, people can turn away from coach to face his players? Lol!
Okoye, Shehu, Bonke, Simon, Musa..thats almost all the team yet, we won.
No Aina,Balogun,Ekong,Indidi, Aribo, Etebo,Iwobi Chukwueze, Iheanacho, Kalu and Ebuehi. Yet! We won this game and some shameless people still coming here to condemn these players? Chaii what a pity.
Gernot Rorh is a very very sound coach. I could not imagine any other coach could make qualifying as easy as this. I actually thought we were going to struggle against Cape Verde in this game but GR came up with a brilliant game plan. This guy is grossly underrated
This is why I asked the question the other day – WHO DID EJUKE OFFEND?
Unu no see am now? A direct, skillful winger who can disturb the opponent’s defense, and has a good shot on him. Released 2 good shots today that the CV goalie did very well to prevent from resting in his net.
I just need Ejuke to be more productive. Work on putting crosses into the box. He already has the dribbling skills and the pace. Use these to hurt the opponent more.
I also want to commend Collins today. Perhaps his best showing in the SE jersey ever. Great overlapping, combined so well with Ejuke, and good crosses into the box. Good job boy!
Also impressed with Osimhen, Awazzy, Omeruo and sub Onyekuru, who came in with fire in his belly, and energized the attack. Way to go lads!
You still dey ask who Ejuke offend…? Na people wey wan sell Iwuala e offend…..LMAOOooo. Thank God dem don finally sell their “many talent”…..make real talents wey get sensible football to offer us for see road pass now.
Collins by far for me was MOTM today…..probably his best match yet as a SE player. The no 2 and 3 positions in the SE is as good as covered for now.
Ive been of the opinion that this match will be an opportunity for the bench to stake a claim for more regular starting berths…..the likes of Ejuke, Collins and Awaziem may just have done that.
And why is nobody talking about Kingsley Micheal…? That boy will give one of Etebo and Aribo a run for their money for a place in the central midfield of the SE….DM, CM, AM…..the kid showed he’s got what it takes to man any of the 3. People wey want make we go prostrate for Nwakali front make e up in game at club level can continue to wait……LMAOOoo. The likes of Kingsley and Onyeka are already making hay while the sun is still shinning. Not to talk of some other small boys like Oladoye and Ugochukwu who are beginning to emerge.
I’m surprised people are not talking about that boy……Completesports gave that boy a rating of 5.5 which in my opinion is unfair for his performance in his debut in such a match. He also clocked a full 90.
Talks of Kingsley Michael should dominate discussions on this forum till the next round of qualifiers. He had a good game today and anything short of 7 in rating is pure wickedness….especially considering the fact that he was asked to swim in waters filled with sharks on his debut. He held that midfield tight, broke play perfectly and initiated attacks when he needed to.
When we say our players should go and rub legs with MEN in big leagues, its for situations like these……having been groomed at the level of Serie A, the boy didnt look overwhelmed by the occasion, facing CapeVerde. Apparently it would take more than some Portuguese 2nd and 3rd division players to make the boy feel jittery.
Sorry I meant allnigeriasoccer.com not completesports
Michael na bundle of energy. The boy was full of running. He did well. A good player to have in the squad. I think he will play even better on a quality pitch.
Yeah, I mentioned the boy in one other CS news. I mentioned how Collins, Ejuke and Michael gelled well, there was life on the left part of the field where they played
Bia @Dr Dre Mechie onu gi ebe ahu!!! ….Awaziem and Chukwueze were the stars of Nigeria vs SA 2019 you should have known that mr know it all… also We were always saying why push for Akpoguma when you have Awaziem, at least I said that. But Madam Rohr PR you were at my throat. In any event that is an area of the field were we have enough depth so no big deal. bt, you still dey blow smelling lies
DR Dre you are a born LIAR wettin you feel say we be pickin for this forum or we no get memory gy yo dey MAD!!!!!!!!!!!
So excited with the results, I think the Michael guy is here to stay, and I would commend our midfield… Okoye was a bit jittery, still has some quality, maybe some more competition for him! Osimhen is a deadly baller, I believe Spalleti will mold him fully, Collins played ball today…. Omo even our 2nd team is devastating! Kudos to Rohr… Up eagles, up Naija
To God be the glory. I am proud of our never say die Nigerian spirit.
Kudos to the entire team and Oga Rohr. They tried their very best and I am satisfied that Nigeria won the match in the end.
My thoughts, from now on, the gaffer shouldn’t rely on any player.
Your reserve bench should be as strong as your first 11.
Musa definitely deserve not less than 10-15 minutes for now.
Moses Simon, hmmm, he fall my hands.
Okoye can never be Super Eagles first choice this time around, he’s for the future I have warned the coaches before now but Agu and Oga Rohr have failed on this. Thank God, we scale through.
Onyekuru quality is second to none and that no 14 Micheal or so, I can’t really remember his name, I am impressed with his performance today.
Super Eagles still need the service of Nwakali and Nwobodo.
Making early subs during the match is very important but today, it wasn’t perfect but better than the last one.
We scored the first goal through the error of the defenders and while the second one also from the mistake of the Cape Verde defender. It is good to put pressure on our opponents but also, creativity is what is missing in this our team.
This should be a concern for the entire coaching crew. We will analyze the match later on but for now, let’s celebrate.
All in all, congratulations to us all. Let the celebrations continue. Ire o. God bless Nigeria!!!
Lol….you and these Nwakali and Nwobodo.
We congratulate the entire team but we must not forget to point out areas still needing serious surgery… My observations for the match today are as follows:
1. Ejuke is fearless and has to be a squad member from now on… please Rohr remove him from Standby team, though he could cut out the need to force impressive dribbles,
his dashing and forceful runs down the flank are the real stuff he can bite with it.
2. Kingsley Michael is very mature and calm, reads the plays very well, knowing when to surge and move to compact the modfield while pressing the opposition, to me, he can do even a better job pairing Ndidi and I will pick him to pair Ndidi ahead of Etebo.
3. Rohr needs to be bold to make substitutions in good time, especailly when trusted players are taking knocks and being dominated, I expect Ejuke and Samuel Kalu to pin down our left wing… pending when we can have Lookman to throw open the debate on that side of our game.
4. I will applaud Coach Rohr for showing humility, belief, and trust in both Bonnke and Michael for this game… so far whether we call it luck or favour, the coach has done great so far given the conditions he is working under, the team is Rohr’s team and help should be accorded him in whatever regard he needs, if he wants another tactical help, NFF should oblige him.
5. It appears we will need Calvin Ughelumba if NFF can get him, between Sanusi and Collins, we could decide on any of them based on who the coach wants to double with Calvin at that LFB position… Calvin is more of what Nigerians want, Awaziem and Umeruo did very well and I believe they have spoken in a manner that will make it hard for Semi Ajayi coming back into the mix in central defence.
6. It is always advantageous to be a player who can play multiple positions… going forward, depending if the coach wants to continue to try Akpoguma at RFB despite his preference for central defence, I would say, Awaziem and Umeruo needs to continue to be part of the team… I am afraid for Thyrone Ebuehi as it appears Akpoguma and Aina could also squeeze him out in that position going to tournaments, I dont think there will be space for more than 4Central_defenders going into tournaments, I see Awaziem and Akpoguma being part of our defence anyhow given they can play multiple positions at the back… though Shehu did well, but I fear he may cease to continue in the team at some point, if RFB is going to be his space with Eagles.
It is not yet Uhuru, but we are mathematically through to the next stage… lastly, I believe, our goalie needs to work on his confidence and positioning with crosses, because when you play teams like England, Argentina and some of the other top dogs… they will press you and put you under all sorts of pressure, his poor timing of balls in flight was evident throughout the game and in previous games especially against Sierra Leone in Benin… I am still of the opinion that Uzoho commands the goal with better confidence…
Finally… I send greeting to @Dr.Drey a.k.a Zeus, @Ayphillydegreat, @Oakfield (please stop bursting to insult @Omo9ja… you are too quick to doing that). I also greet @Chima, @Omo9ja, @Proudly9ja, @Collins id, @Prof. Offiali (some people go vex for this one now… hahaha)…. I salute every other member…
Before I forget… NFF please, Pinnick and crew make una settle our coachie and the boys… God bless Super Eagles!
Congratulations to coach Rohr and the entire SE. The coach substitutions were 100% magnificent and timely. We dominated the game and produce more clear cut chances than Cape verde, God bless Nigeria.
Dr drey, let us be magnanimous in victory. Some of these guys love Nigeria. It’s just that they produce their comments out of bitterness.
Dr. Drey please give us your assessment of this game with respect to the players, tactics used, substitution done.
I think this Kingsley Michael is superb. I believe onyeka would not even do better than him today. Ejuke too is great.
I wonder why sanusi is having problem in his club. I still prefer him at left back.
Moses should not be starting. He can’t even cross very well.
Oh inwoukd have loved to see kalu today.
Moffi can also be a good backnup oshimen.
I think rohr managed the game well with his substitution and with the way the set up and played today. Though Musa should have been off at the beginning of second half.
Great win. Rohr no dey joke with qualifiers. He is a master of qualifiers.
Also Ejuke, He did very well in today’s encounter. He just need to learn how to play with his team mates. He has individual skills but adding skills of playing together as a team to his skills will add more qualities to his game. Bravo to Ejukeand also Awaziem. God bless us all. God bless Nigeria!!!
You can’t commend something without complaining, Ejuke did not even dribble today nor play selfish game, all his play was on point. My opinion on some players, I think shehu has to be dropped, I always wanted him to be part of the team because I watched him played DM one time like that and he did well, buh we have Michael, ndidi, etebo, onyeka Joe Aribo now, as for me I will pick ebueh over akpoguwa and two of them may be dropped. I will also pick Uzoho over okoye from now on. Ejuke, Samuel kalu, chukwueze,Victor Moses, Alex Iwobi are very important to the team, I think this guys are preferred over Musa from now unless GR can find a way to include Musa in the team bcos experience helps at times when it comes to real competitions.
I omitted onyekuru so Musa has to be dropped
@Christian Ministries Nigeria I am Sure you now see what I said about Moses SImon being Slow in Transition
@iwunze you are perfectly right.
Hahahahah….we have always been magnanimous in victory. It is agents of darkness who have vowed never to relent in their evil machinations against our National team.
There’s nothing about this game I will say now that I’ve not said before….CSN doesnt delete comments…..anyone can go dig them all up.
Even when alarmists who only watch highlights wanted to start predicting doom….I told them straight up that this CPV team is a team that only attacks from the wings…once we can cover our wings properly we will dominate them and the worst result we would get will be a draw.
We even put 2 debutants in our midfield yet they still couldn’t control the game in their own backyard. I’ld always felt a 4-4-2 or a 3-5-2 will force them to where we want them to be….the wings and not only did we do that, the wise decision in pining their full backs with Ejuke and Simon was the joker for us, because it ultimately prevented them from always joining the attack as they have always done in previous games….so we practically forced them to play the way we wanted to play. Barring that contentious 1st goal which i still think is offside, we completely rendered them useless on both wings for a larger part of the game, while the mid-block defence line we played ensured the gap between our last line of defence and our goal keeper was not enough for their central forwards to run into incase of balls played over the defence when the flanks have been completely shut.
Overall It was a well managed game, tactically and physically, and we got the needed results and that’s all that matters when playing qualifiers. Leave pretty football for friendlies and tournament proper. Just do what need to be done and get the damn job done.
3 point lead….top of the table with a potential to qualify for the next round by the time we bag another 6 points. I dont see Liberia getting more than 2 points in the next round of games and that should give us an unassilable 7 point lead.
We are moving and God almighty is with us in all of these
Like always, well said. Congratulations.
Also He utilized Onyekuru early a player we his critics always clamoured for granted injury and unavailability to some key players but he took his chance, look at the result he also started Ejuke a very talented player who if I can remember clearly is another player that WE his critics clamored for and questioned his ommssion from Match days at the expenses of Musa in the past and also his late introduction in some games, what happened his adoring fans were at our throats at every angle.
@Ugo Iwunze… I sight you brother. We have always asked Coach Rohr to be fearless… some will think we just want to criticize him. Let players be selected on merit… the next thing I want to see is to include Taiwo Awoniyi, I dont care what anyone says… that guy Awoniyi will silence everyone this season and he is the closest individual who can replace Osimhen as a like for like! Moffi is good but must prove self again this season… for Sadiq, segunda division is not doing him any good!
Sebi na you dey help am play the qualifier all this while, why you no apply for the job so that you can use the tactics well
This is what a SUPER EAGLES Team B should look like and even much more better, especially with the arrays of stars we have scattered all over European Leagues.
No theoretically training, no practical training,no prior coaching experience, not even a FIFA Grade C coaching certificate or course.
God bless Nigeria and Nigerians
Good job guys, we need to applaud them, without 8 starters they did good, but musa pls retire u ve serve ur country well we truly appreciates u, but pls retire from super Eagles
Sorry I meant allnigeriasoccer.com not completesports.
Rohr no dey joke with qualifier but dey play with competition or friendly mtcheeeeew. Anyway, congratulations to Mr Rohr his crew and all the players.God has shame them again. Collins was superb in both matches that is why i always say we should learn to respect coach choice of his players. Isn’t it the same guy rohr has been battered cos of Sanusi well let’s your consent judge you.
Moving forward:
Awaziem, Ejuke and Collins passed the test to be in SE. These three demonstrated that they belong to the main SE team.
How cruel are you to leave out Kingsley Michael. The boy played well on his debut in a crucial game.
What do you expect from someone who criticized Rohr for inviting Kingsley…? Lmaooooo. The little boy has gone on to show him his middle finger…LMAoooooo
SE now bleesed with reservoire of quality midfielders to call upon. On a good pitch, we will truly appreciate the quality these two; Bonke and Michael can bring to the party. That Bonke guy, is the type of ultra defensive midfielder we havent had for long, a Jean cloud Makelele in the making. Very good at messing up opponents build up play even right from the opponents deep half. I am so happy we now have this type of defensive midfieder different from the rest who are all similar in that defensive midfield position. Michael was awesome, but similar to Etebo, similar to Onyeka, similar to ndidi. Wont place Aribo in there, as he is such goal threat, better playing close to opponent goal. Whao, what else to say about Ejuke? I can only imagine these fantastic four THE WAZZA DAZZLER CHUZZY, EJUKE, ADEMOLA LOOKMAN, SAMUEL KALU…. Hahahahaha… OOOOOOBOY. Cant wait for AFCON? Musa and Shehu should now call it a day. When that thing leaves you, your struggles becomes evident even to the blind because they will keep hearing how badly you are playing.
That referee ummmmhhh….how on earth did he allow that off side goal and also fail to give that penalty. Happy he couldnt achieve his plan anyway. Glory to God. FINALLYY,WE ALL SHOULD LEARN TO SUPPORT THIS MAN ROHR. HE IS NOT OUR PROBLEM. UNSEEN HANDS SELFISHLY BENEFITTING FROM OUR FOOTBALL FROM OVER THE YEARS, LEAVING IT IN SUCH SORRY STATE, SHOULD BE THE ONES WE FOOTBALL FANS SHOULD BE ATTACKING AND NOT ROHR OR THE PLAYERS
Congrats to the team, coach and Nigerians. Im happy they won. I was a bit sceptical at first especially about our midfield but they did it at the end. Congrats to the defensive players and wingers especially my guy EJUKE. Long have I been waiting for you to show Nigerians what you bring to the National team. Osimhen is our number one striker, he keeps showing up to games and delivering when it matters. I didn’t watch the game but from the comments I can see that some players did well while some had an off day. All in all, the eagles have taken off and it looks like it will be difficult to catch up with her. Cant wait for the next round of games to come.
Lastly, I appeal to the NFF to settle all outstanding payments, match bonuses and salaries to the team and coaches. They deserve it. Up Super Eagles, up Nigeria!
Completesports is it the match I watched you guys also watched? How can your so dumbed raters rated this new gem (kingsley michael), this low and even saying that he struggled from the beginning of the game?
I don’t have una time for now!
Congratulation to super eagles, you guys were so super this evening mehn!
Congratulation to gernot rohr. The qualifiers’ “perfectionist”.
I predicted 2:1 and it came perfectly. Well in the favour of super eagles.
I have Personally seen another midfielder for the super eagles in the name of kingsley Michael. He had always been sent on loan by his parents club Bologna but this season, they decided to keep and registered him with the first team members in serieA and that alone tells that the boy has come of age.
I love the way he handled our midfield and made me almost forgetten the fact that ndidi and aribo were not around. Michael A.K A KAKA trigger really impressed me guys. He is the player who impressed me the most as I had already known what osimehn, ejuke, awaziem and Henry could do even before the match.
Guys! I no know if una dey see wetin I dey see fa! I had never believed in this guy called simon moses fa! Apart of the fact that he always trackback to help the RB to me, the guy has nothing special for long I have really studied him. Even whenever simon dribbles his end product is awful. He may be playing well for his club Nantes but for super eagles so far ? No! No!! No!!! To me,NO! Moses simon guy to me has no complete compendium of purpose guys!
Musa well done! You have really done well but it is becoming obvious that the energy is not really there anymore. I love you because you had really made me proud of being a staunch super eagles fan…but I foresee that it is about time your no. 7 be given to Lookman when he finally arrived.
Thank you so much ahmed musa. Hopefully, you can still carry on till the next world cup in Qatar.
Michael, continue your growth and improvement I love your football artistry…all the best.
Good game by the team overall, we played well from start to finish, however towards the end of the match cape verde started putting some pressure on us but we managed the game well.
For those who thought their goal was an offside should check the game again (the fifa tv version in English from YouTube at the 42:26/2:21:15 min mark pause it there) u will see that Collins and Awazuem kept him on, omeruo, bonke and Simon pushed up but Collins and Awaziem didn’t quick enough hence no offside.
I personally from what I saw today and what I saw onyeka play against algeria, I will play Kingsley Michael ahead of him anyday, am not a huge fan of his style of play (too rash and will cause penalties with his tackling), glad am not the gaffer tho, too much headache lol. The small boy isn’t rash in his tackles, very composed on the ball, I see him pairing better with Ndidi than Etebo (not discounting etebo’s experience). Its still early days for him but overall he was fantastic today (he has earned a recall to the teamin our forthcoming games in my view) also the entire team tried today. Ejuke on the left and Chuzzy on the right will be mesmerizing to watch. The reason Ejuke wasn’t seen much in the 2nd half was due to the fact that they tried to deny him the ball knowing how he skooled dem in the 1st half, but like someone said earlier he needs to involve his teammates more and be more purposeful with the ball, those darting runs and curls will help his game more if he involves his teammate more as teams won’t know if he’s going to pass or make those dribbling runs. Sanusi should also learn how to manage games, there was a point in the game towards the end when he had possession in the opposition’s half and tried to square the ball, there is no need for dat, take the ball to the corner flank and kill some seconds that how u manage games when leading. Overall, great game, we might just end up amassing 18 points ooo without dropping a point, won’t dat be nice. That will silent omo9ja lol, ore bawo ni. Just my thought.
