Victor Lindelof’s improved form under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is set to be rewarded with a new Manchester United deal.
The Swedish central defender has come in from the cold under his fellow Scandinavian, arguably proving to be the pick of the Red Devils’ rearguard.
And Solskjaer is understood to have made it clear to Lindelof that he is a big part of his future plans, with an expected summer purge of the United squad to come shortly.
The Swede has two years remaining on his £120,000-per-week deal and club officials will sit down before the start of next season to thrash out an extension.

It will complete a big turnaround for the likeable 24-year-old, who appeared to be heading for the exit under former boss Jose Mourinho, having struggled to cement a starting place since arriving from Benfica two years ago for £31million.
Lindelof and his young family are now settled in Manchester and United’s backroom feel the defender is now starting to underline why they placed so much early faith in him.
