Both Manchester United and Manchester City are said to be keen on Lille’s exciting youngster Exauce Mpembele. The 17-year-old has yet to make a breakthrough into the Ligue 1 club’s first team but has been tearing up defences in the Lille Under-17s.
His 35 goals in the season just finished have made some of Europe’s big-hitters take notice and it has been reported that both Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and City counterpart Pep Guardiola have been alerted to his prowess in front of goal.
DH in Belgium are reporting that, aside from the Manchester giants, Spanish outfit Atletico Madrid, Italian club AC Milan plus Red Bull Salzburg of Austria have had the starlet watched at times over the past few months. Mpembele is a manager’s dream in that he can operate in the centre of the park or on either flank and clearly has an eye for goal.
