Lille manager Christophe Galtier has further showered encomium on Victor Osimhen for the Nigeria forward’s overall impressive performances since his arrival at the club, reports Completesports.com.
Osimhen, 20, linked up with Lille from Belgian outfit, Sporting Charleroi early this month and has proved to be a shrewd signing for the French Ligue 1 side.
The Nigeria international, despite a limited a pre-seaon preparation, has netted four goals in three league outings for Les Dogues to top the scoring chart.
Osimhen showed his blazing form prowess by scoring two goals after coming on as a substitute for former France striker, Loic Remy in Wednesday’s 3-0 home win against Saint Etienne.
Galtier, having worked closely with the young forward for the past few weeks, can’t stop singing the praises of his player.
“Osimhen has the qualities necessary and indispensable for today’s football, and he also has the qualities of olden days strikers. Against Saint Etienne, he was ubiquitous in the area,” Galtier told a news conference on Saturday.
Lille will face Reims in their next French Ligue 1 game on Sunday.
