Josh Maja was on target again for Bordeaux who were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Amiens in the French Ligue 2 on Friday night.
Maja has now scored in his last four games in all competitions (three in the league, one in French Cup) for Bordeaux.
The goal against Amiens took Maja’s tally for the season to 11 after 19 games in the second-tier division.
The 24-year-old currently leads the goal chart in the 20-team league table.
It is back-to-back draws for Bordeaux and they have just one win in their last five fixtures (two defeats, two draws).
Maja put Bordeaux 1-0 ahead after converting from the penalty spot with three minutes left in the first half.
In the 86th minute Maja was withdrawn for Senegalese forward Aliou Badji.
But Bordeaux were denied all three points as a George Ilenikhena’s 92nd minute strike earned Amiens a share of the spoils.
Bordeaux still remain second on 33 points and are nine points behind leaders Le Havre.

Even the scorer for Amiens, George Ilenikhena, is a also a Nigerian. Talents everywhere
That George is a pure talent. He is just under 17 and would have been a perfect fit for our u-20 world cup team.
Well said Papafemman, that George is great. All the best coaches know his talent.
30% of his goals are penalties which he safely puts away shows he’s a good penalty taker.
However,I’m not sure he’s a prolific striker because a good number of his goals comes from the spots besides he struggled both in the premiership and ligue1 respectively.
At 24 you expect more from Maja he needs to prove himself in the elite division to get a chance with the super eagles, for now I think he should focus on his club career.
