Moffi now has two goals and two assists in five games in the French topflight this season.
The Super Eagles striker set up teammate Armand Lauriente for the opener in the seventh minute.

Lille equalised thanks to Turkish striker Burak Yilmaz who converted from the penalty spot on 25 minutes.
But with three minutes left in the game Moffi scored what proved to be the winner for Lorient.
The win was Lorient’s second after five league games played (two draws, one defeat).
They move up to fourth on eight points in the 20-team league table.

Wonderful game.
I watched the matched, and I loved how he handled the ball.
Good win hope they continue in this form. Good one for moffi, scoring right back from international duty. Making himself relevant for both club and country. Although he hasn’t scored for his national team, probably due to not getting long periods on the field. But if he doesn’t score for the Super Eagles soon, I forsee the coach bringing in another striker such as awoniyi, sadiq or even Dennis just to try them out. If any of them clicks with the team then moffi may end up on the waiting list.
Is it his fault that he hasn’t scored for SE?
Excellent Center Forward..I Liked The Way He Mesmerized The Lille Defenders Holding Up Play B4 Setting Up His Teammate For First Goal..Superb Assist.A Worthy Eagle
He’s like a more imposing version of Obafemi Martins. Very direct, skillful and always looking to score. Always in the first 11 of his team, but have to contend with Osimhen and Iheanacho in the National team. I think he’s ahead of Onuachu currently in the pecking order. He gives us a dynamic option upfront and he’s got the aggressiveness to go with it.
Another thing I noticed about the SuperEagles this past window is that we are beginning to display more grit by being more physical and fast. With players like Moffi and Awoniyi complementing Osimhen and Iheanacho we will be a menace to any African defense and beyond. If I have to use today it will be Osimhen, Iheanacho, Moffi, Awoniyi in that order. Onuachu, Simy and Sadiq will probably hug the headlines as well, but I think will have to do more to usurp those 4 for now. Great game by Moffi. #FLY LIKE AN EAGLE INTO THE FUTURE#
First day the mechanic will be making sense but Obafemi is a beast you shouldn’t compare to Moffi…
Hahahaha!! You need to carry bell like a town crier to be fooling yourself around. Of course I don’t make sense to Onye aras and stuck on lunatics like you. I don’t make sense to liars who’s Molue or 911 consumes $100 gas a week Lmao!! I don’t make sense to internet scammers living a miserable luxury life in a trap house in Ghana of all places Lmao!! The idiot is always here bragging about living in Ghana Lnao!! If I compare Moffi to Martins what difference does it make?? Brainless Cow. Both Martins and Moffi are Nigerians and who told you he may not surpass Martins. Can you predict the future asshole?? Moffi is only 22 with immense potentials and currently a SuperEagle. What did Martins achieve with Nigeria?? Cow brain.
Obafemi was a beast but with a very poor footwork. Moffi is a beast too but with excellent footwork…… now choose
Moffi is yet to reach the level of profile Obafemi built at Inter Milan in the early 2000s.let us allow the kid grow and not pressure him with needless comparisons now…
Bros please don’t compare obafemi with moffi for now lol, you are very funny lol lol
Martins is even small I can even compare him to Lukaku. He does have that attribute and if he can be half as good as Lukaku then who be Martins??? He equaled Ikpebas Ligue 1 Nigeria scoring record last season. If you like go call police say I compare him to Lukaku Lmao!!
ANOTHER PROLIFIC AND DYNAMIC PLAYER. HE CAN OPERATE FROM RIGHT WING(7), LEFT WING(7), SUPPORTING & CENTRE FORWARD(8&9).
WE NEED PLAYERS LIKE THIS TYPE (including DESSERS, LOOKMAN, EJUKE) TO COMPLEMENT OUR FRONT PERFECTLY.
@sportfan,how many minutes has he been allowed to play and build confidence in the superEagles set up. As far as I’m after watching Onuachu , Sadiq ,Awoyini and morfi, I will go with Terim Morfi and Awoyni to compliment Osimhem because they offer sodmething special that fits idnto the SE style of play Ok and moreover they are in the top five leauges in Europe.
Na wa o. So moffi is now better than Obafemi martins in his day?!
Someone even said obafemi martins doesn’t have good footwork. Hmmmmmmm, I hope its another O.M. and not the one who travelled all over Europe scoring goals. In Italy, England, Germany, Spain, even USA etc a proven goal scorer who scored with both feet. He had frightening pace, tremendous acceleration, powerful shots, great dribbles, physically strong as well. And some individuals already rate moffi higher than him. Well everyone is entitled to their opinion but I seriously disagree with anyone who will dare say a player like moffi terem is better than obafemi martins in his prime.
Who said he’s better? The ones who said he’s better know themselves I only said he’s like Obafemi Martins. He’s like doesn’t suggest he’s better. He’s like Martins means he reminds one of a certain Obafemi Martins. If he continues to score goals for Lorient and move to another bigger club who knows what might happen. He’s got the potentials that’s what matters for now. At least Martins win 2 Bronze at the AFCON let’s hope Moffi go one better.
@sportsfan which martins get dribbling skills?….he compensated for it with his blistering pace, braveness and good shooting power……but dribbling skill was never part of martins game…..go on YouTube and rewatch him.
@Akp you should do the same. Go to YouTube and watch obafemi Martin’s clips from his time in inter milan and Newcastle and even super eagles, then come here and say he doesn’t have dribbling skills
One man’s meat is another man’s poison……No meter to really measure who is better between Martins and Moffi at their peaks……but we can only point out different qualities they possess more than each other…..Martins had alot of pace more than Moffi but lacked an intelligent footwork which Moffi has in abundance…..Mancini who knows martins well once said he wished martins had a brain as fast his feet…… Footwork is very good for a striker because of holdup play and bringing in more of your team mates into the play……So I only pointed out the criteria I observed in the both of them which some coaches might use to judge…… while some will judge it by pedigree, the clubs they have played for,the number of caps at international level, the number of trophies they have won,and so on but me I focus on technical ability……. Martins is faster but Moffi is more balanced and skillful.
Just like if we say who is better between Chukwueze and Iheanacho……we will argue and kill each other here without any headway…..But we can only point out certain qualities we observe in both of them……They are both left footers….. Iheanacho has a greater shooting power than Chukwueze….. Chukwueze has greater pace than Iheanacho…… Iheanacho in stronger than Chukwueze……. Chukwueze is more skillful than Iheanacho…… You can only compare football players by the qualities they possess…… That’s the only way because no player is better than another player……each player has his own unique quality some in abundance more than others but they can all contribute to the team……. Ronaldo alone couldn’t have won the game for United but his unique qualities can only make a difference……so you can’t separate players from the quality they possess……
As far as im concerned moffi cannot compare to martins on any level for now.
Martins level in his prime, is way up there.
The problem with Nigeria ball fans is that once a new shooting star starts shinning through… they forget the meteor that came before… who in a sane world would at this point mention Terem Moffi where Obafemi Martins name is echoing? Let us allow these young boys mature before we start hyping them beyond their true levels abeg… Go and ask Kolo Toure who Obafemi Martins is before you come here to talk of Moffi! Do you recall strikers that Martins have to battle at Inter Milan for playing time at all? Alvaro Recoba, Adriano, Christian Vieri… are you kidding me?
