Bayer Leverkusen have confirmed the signing of left-back Daley Sinkgraven, who arrives from Dutch side Ajax on a four-year deal. The 23-year-old was rated as one of the most gifted midfielders in Europe when Ajax snapped him up four years ago, but he has been hampered by injuries, before eventually being converted to a left-back.

Sinkgraven was again facing limited opportunities with Ajax next season as Nicolas Tagliafico dominating at left-back, and Leverkusen have moved quickly to snap him up. Leverkusen are thought to have paid 5million euros to conclude a deal for the player, who has penned a contract until 2023 and cannot wait to get started.
Sinkgraven told the Leverkusen website, “This transfer is an exciting and motivating opportunity to play for a German top club after my time at Ajax. I am really looking forward to playing in the Bundesliga and of course the Champions League.”
