Bayer Leverkusen have joined Juventus in the race to sign out-of-favour Chelsea centre-back Axel Disasi, according to Sky Sports (via Get French Football News).
Disasi regularly featured under Pochettino last season however, since the appointment of Enzo Maresca, Disasi has struggled for opportunities this season – only playing 184 minutes in the English top flight so far.
Whilst his contract at Stamford Bridge runs until 2029, he could be set for a departure, perhaps as early as January.
Juventus are interested in the defender, however, they don’t have the financial means to pull off a deal, as things stand.
Bayer Leverkusen, however, may lose Jonathan Tah and are therefore anticipating his departure by drawing up a list of potential replacements.
Disasi features on this list and the Bundesliga side have sounded out the defender’s entourage regarding a potential move.
Should Tah leave, Bayer Leverkusen could make their move for Disasi.
