Serie A club Lazio are closing in on a deal for Nigeria midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, reports Completesports.com.
According to Sports Digitale reporter, Resat Can Ozbudak, Lazio and Turkish Super Lig outfit, Hatayspor have already agreed a €7m fee for the player.
Dele-Bashiru will undergo medical this week before signing his contract.
The 22-year-old spent just one season at Hatayspor after linking up with the club on a free transfer last summer.
The midfielder scored eight goals in 36 league appearances for Ozhan Pulat’s side in the 2023/24 season.
His ability to play multiple midfield roles endeared him to Lazio.
The talented midfielder made his competitive debut for Nigeria in a 2026 World Cup qualifier against South Africa two weeks ago, scoring the Super Eagles only goal in the 1-1 draw.
Ogenyi Onazi was the last Nigerian to play for Lazio.
