Bruno Labbadia has turned down the chance to manage the Super Eagles of Nigeria, reports Completesports.com.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Tuesday named Labbadia new head coach of the Super Eagles.
According to German news outlet, Kicker, the NFF failed to reach agreement with the 58-year-old before making the announcement.
The hasty announcement by the NFF is the major reason why the former Germany international rejected the job.

The former striker, according to the publication started negotiation with the NFF last weekend.
Labbadia was said to be attracted to job despite the challenges.
The offer from the NFF was also attractive, especially from a sporting perspective, but both parties could not reach agreement due to organizational issues that could not be resolved in the short time available.
The gaffer was earlier expected to be in charge of the Super Eagles for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda.
Technical director of the NFF Augustine Eguavoen is now expected to take charge of the Super Eagles for the upcoming games.

Oooooooh CSN! You should have completed your post by doing investigative journalism like finding out the person managing the team at least for the 2 matches Knowing well that we have just 8days to play Benin.
What a country, what a nation and what a federation. Minister badluck, Nff badluck. This minister is d worse and his Nff chair.an all should be sacked. Nigeria what a shame
You are nothing but a noise maker, more of a social media miscreant. And such, that wouldn’t take Coach Eguaveon and his lads anywhere. You only need to take things easy to see the clearer picture otherwise, the rooftop continues to burn while you chase rats around.
I would advise the fans to begin to select SE 1st eleven side because we have only 7days for the Super Eagles Coach to perform magic.
They should just line up Eguavoen and those NFF board and technical members for firing squad let’s rest abeg
Honestly…..
Higher levels of incompetence and National disgrace. This NFF board is the worst in the history of our football administration.
Our football is in a chaos and I don’t think it will get any better from here. T don’t care whatever reasons came up for this unfortunate circumstance, the current set of NFF administrators is the most useless and incompetent set we’ve ever heard in recent times. The craziest part of this is that these stupid people never learn. It is only NFF that will let a coach that met his targets go and have no replacement in mind. They sacked Rohr for no excuses, brought in Eguaveon who failed. They let off Jose and brought in Finidi who was booted out unceremoniously. And since then, the mediocres cannot get a coach. They fooled us with a dubious appointment only for the coach to pull out. I don’t care if we get banned or not, the govt. needs to step in at this point and dissolve the body to put competent people there. Seriously, the revitalization of the body will make the duration of the ban irrelevant. I also want EFCC to investigate the inflow of monies in the federation account. AMAJU PINNICK must be a scape goat and the rest of the members! We cannot watch things generate so badly. Mali has already appointed Tom Saintfelt. I hope this Mikel can see the administrative failure going on in the NFF and wonder in any sensible foreign board will choose Nigeria over their country of births. This is beyond embarrassing!
The problem with some Nigerians is, instead of looking forward they begin to reason backwards. The man said he’s no longer interested, so what do we do? The NFF constitution is clear on this. Whoever is taking Eagles should do the needful by opening the camp so that the lads can begin to assemble. No more time!
You’re spot on, Tim. Me too, no time i welcomed such slavish mentality. Nonsense! Our local coaches need to be given more time on the job instead of giving room to people like Bruno labbabba who hasn’t any experience in Africa football.
Brothers, Nigeria for now cannot be ok because the presidency is falsely position on Nigerians by INEC.
Just take a look at what is happening at the moment, every sector is experiencing backwards syndrome. Some people must die violently for the Nation Nigeria to regain freedom.
Conspiracy manifesting in all works of life in everything about Nigeria.
This country I love so much is bleeding.
What the effing f**k is happening!!!????
I think I’m going to have a headache my people. I want to rest my head.
And you wonder why my expectations for the Super Eagles is rock bottom. Oh well!
It’s Eguavoen until further notice.
Nonsense.
Another reason why the clueless minister of sports should be sacked ASAP….!!!
I never really like the idea of hiring a foreign coach Though some few fans were shouting themselves hoarse with no one listening. What i think is happening is for Coach Eguaveon who’s already serving as the interim coach should let us know when the boys will be available for training at Uyo. This is very important going forward.
It’s like watching a horror movie unfold, isn’t it? How on earth did Gusau and his merry band of misfits manage to land in football administration? Seriously, who did this to us? It’s like we’ve been collectively bewitched or something! These guys are like the gift that keeps on giving—but instead of joy, it’s endless frustration.
Announcing a coach before he’s even fully agreed to take the job? That’s next-level ridiculousness. And it’s not like this is happening out of the blue; they had two whole months to get their act together before our crucial AFCON qualifiers. Instead, they spent all that time twiddling their thumbs, only to rush out with half-baked announcements that leave us all scratching our heads.
Where are the checks and balances? Does no one in government have the sense to pull the plug on this circus? The level of ridicule and disgrace these folks are dragging us into is simply unbearable.
And now, Labbadia too has bolted. Can you blame him? Who in their right mind would want to dive into this mess? The Super Eagles coaching job is starting to look like a poisoned chalice. Every time someone even considers it, they take one look at the chaos and say, “No thanks, I’ll pass.”
At this point, I’m not just speechless; I’m flabbergasted. If this is the leadership we’ve got in charge of our football, then we might as well brace ourselves for more of the same—because, clearly, we’re on a fast track to nowhere.
I have kuku warned you Nigerians but most of you did not believe in me and most you of also very abusive.
I’m not surprised with NFF, the most incompetent and arrogance People in the whole universe. Can you manage kę. Nigerians are now a football they are kicking around the pitch. Fooling themselves think they are fooling us.
The entire NFF board members should be fired for this symbolic show of shame kę.
Finger crossed. Ire o. God bless Nigeria!!!
I read also that Waldrum is out as falcons coach because there are no serious qualifiers until 2025 and their Madugu can do the job lol meanwhile there are 5 friendly windows before 2024 ends in women football calendar. Egusvoen who is as outdated as Siasia is the one to outfox and out manoeuvre Rohr or gun blazing Rwanda. Wow. The grave is dug. To hell with glasshouse
Rohr side go collect a basket full at Uyo.
Shame has come home to a Stupid administration that Nigeria is plagued with. Either an administrative leprosy or An extension of Subsidized foolishness. The fact that the coach didn’t sign the dotted lines before their announcement shows a peculiar pattern of negative procedures that our NFF adopts inorder to maximize money gained by third party interest. If not properly investigated then the presidency has a share of the Blame. Our Economy and Petroleum Refineries have been deliberately manipulated the same way NFF are managing our football. Hope is on a journey through the eyes of a rusty needle to save 9!
Been calling for the resignation or direct firing of this Minister and the entire board of the FA and her technical dept. for ages now.
Enoh,Gusua and their whole team are incompetent to a T. This is simply outrageous. Their incompetency is borderline stupid.
With authority like ours, there is no way Nigeria would ever get into the promised land even if it’s next door.
What a joke. What a shame.
The same Eguaveon within a short periid won an afcon medal if my memory hasn’t failed. Now I now you must be one of the ‘dotted’ Nationals to so reason. See, the only option is to wait, stay glued to your tv on match day because this Eguaveon’s ship is already sailing to victory and nothing is stopping his boys from whipping The Squirrels.

Rhor is using juju on Nigeria take it or leave it
Lolo! The same juju that refused him SE jo, abi? You better go and stay glued to ya tv to see how Coach Eguaveon’s boys will whip Rohr side.
Perharps rohr alerted the German tax office to delay it till after Benin game. How did the German govt know about it. How many times has Nigeria collected tax on our citizens working outside the country .well my opinion anyway.the whole sport ministry terrible since our performance at the Olympics i think the minister of sport need to be sacked
The work of Gernot Rhor and his black magic.
In sane country the minister of sport and the FA president must resign or be sacked.
The current minister of sport isn’t only timid, but clueless. He always jettison all the recommendations of the technical dept and then not owning up when the center cannot hold.
Senator Enoh is the major problem of Nigeria football today followed by the NFF President who is just there as a figure head
We have an NFF president who is asleep at the wheel, surrounded by a board of bumbling buffoons.
World record levels of incompetence.
But it is not only incompetence that is the problem. The even bigger problem is CORRUPTION.
Compliance with German tax laws is not rocket science. All NFF need do is pay Labbadia his complete salary, AND REPORT THAT AMOUNT TO THE GERMAN TAX AUTHORITIES. As an independent contractor, Labbadia is expected to pay his tax bill himself.
However, this is where water come pass garri.
Remember that the main objective of these NFF hoodlums is to find a coach they can share salary with. The German tax authorities know what the gross amount of Labbadia’s salary is. So it means for this arrangement between the NFF and Labbadia to work, Labbadia has to agree to pay taxes on all his gross income. In other words, he’s paying taxes on the portion of his salary that is paid to him, but he’s also paying taxes on the portion that NFF are sharing among themselves. Which coach will ever agree to that? This is the dilemma that NFF is facing. This is a major reason why it’s taking them an eternity to hire a coach. If they were straightforward, of course this would not be a problem at all.
Labbadia will declare to the German tax authorities that he received a certain salary amount, but NFF will claim that he received more. So who pays the taxes on the difference? NFF won’t do that, and Labbadia won’t agree to pay taxes on income he never received. Meanwhile, the German tax authorities want their money.
This is the problem. This is one of several reasons why Labbadia is backing out. Baba no wan go German prison because of yeye Nigeria job.
Again, all that’s required of NFF is to pay the coach every dime of his salary. Once that is done, the tax burden rests squarely on the coach. But NFF shenanigans introduces all kinds of complexity to an otherwise simple transaction.
This is why hiring a local coach is so convenient. No tax issues. Plus the local coach is easier to railroad into a salary sharing arrangement. Besides, more ill gotten gains can come from forcing players on the coach, and running player agency business.
So yes, NFF big wigs are clinking champagne glasses and laughing at us gullible, stupid Nigerians. They have once again succeeded in hoodwinking us and forcing their will on us.
Las, las, the local coach they wanted from the beginning is upon us.
That milk don spill, continue to look forward
Hmmm, when are we going to get things right in this country?
Imagine this issue of hiring a coach in a day and waking up the next day to hear that he has backed out! Something is really wrong with our system.
Why is NFF hasty in declaring they have hired a new coach when all necessary signings between the hired coach and NFF have not been done?
I pity football lovers in the country (I inclusive) the agonies and pains they are passing through as a result of incompetent bunch people called NFF. Nigeria can not move forward ( not a curse) at realm of affairs of our football.
How do we qualify for the next World Cup with this poor organisation and preparation?
Oh poor Nigeria my country!
