England midfielder Jude Bellingham and Spanish midfielder Pablo Gavi have been nominated for the 2023 Golden Boy award.
The award is for the best U-21 player in World Football and the two youngsters were nominated for their superlative performances in the period under review.
Both players were included in the Golden Boy top 100 index announced by Tuttosport who created the award in 2003.
Bellingham who has just been signed by Real Madrid had an excellent 2022/23 season for Borrusia Dortmund winning the Bundesliga player of the season.
The 19 year old also had a stellar tournament at the 2022 FIFA World Cup for England.
Gavi who won the award in 2022 was key for club and country as Barcelona won the 2022/23 Laliga season and Spain won the 2022/23 UEFA Nations League.
Eighteen year old midfield maestro Gavi netted twice and provided four assists in 36 Laliga matches last season whilst Bellingham scored eight goals and provided four assists in 31 Bundesliga games in the 2022/23 campaign.
