Super Eagles winger, Samuel Chukwueze was a second half substitute as Villarreal defeated Espanyol 5-1 in Sunday’s La Liga game.
The Nigeria international was making his 16 appearance and has scored two goals this ongoing season.
He came on in the 75th minute for Yeremi Pino and made an impact.
Villarreal opened the floodgate of goals in the 17th minute through Yeremi Pino before grabbing his brace in the 20th minute.
The Spanish international later scored a hat-trick in the 45th minute with a brilliant finish before half time.
At the resumption of the second half, he made it four goals in the 53rd minute to take the game beyond the reach of Espanyol.
Keidi Bare netted in the 65th minute for Espanyol before Villarreal made it 5-1 thanks to Boulaye Dia’s cool finish in the 85th minute.
The win move Villarreal to 5th on the league table on 42 points while Espanyol sit 13th on 29 points.
