Tottenham star, Dejan Kuluesevski has revealed that scoring against Manchester City built his confidence with he team.
Recall that the Swede joined Spurs on-loan in January from Juventus.
In a chat with Aftonbladet, Kuluesevski stated that his goal against Man City changed his life for good and made him believe he belongs to the Premier League.
“It helped me a lot to have scored after three minutes in the debut game against City, my season changed there.
“I will never forget that game… We were away and they at Etihad had won like 15 games in a row and all with five to six goals… We go there and win, with assists.
“After that game I thought nobody was authorised to tell me anything anymore, I know who I am and what I can do, what others think is not important.”
Style of play
A tall, physically strong, and versatile player, Kulusevski is capable of playing in several midfield and attacking roles, and has been deployed as an attacking midfielder, as a box-to-box midfielder, as a winger on either flank, or even as an offensive-minded central midfielder, known as the mezzala role in Italian (literally “half-winger”); his main position is playing as an attacking midfielder behind the striker.
