Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany says his side are the “best in the world” after they beat Watford 6-0 to win the FA Cup.
The Citizens opened the scoring in the 26th minute through David Silva, before Gabriel Jesus then added another before the break.
Kevin De Bruyne stepped off the bench to score, while Jesus and Raheem Sterling ended the game with a brace each.

City are now the first English team to win the men’s domestic treble – the Carabao Cup, Premier League and FA Cup – and Kompany claims it is a privilege to be part of the squad. “What a club, what a privilege,” Kompany told BBC Sport. “It started with the manager, he sets the standard at the start of the season and said we had to go back-to-back [Premier League title]. “It’s the best team in the world for me. To set such a high standard for so long – not just for one year but two years running now.”
