Super Eagles defender, Kenneth Omeruo, has celebrated his Spanish club, Leganes hard-fought 2-1 away win against Rayo Vallecano in their LaLiga clash on Monday, Completesports.com reports.
Martin Braithwaite’s goal gave Leganes the lead in the 36th minute of the keenly contested encounter at the Campo de Futbol de Vallecas.
Leganés were reduced to 10 men in the 58th minute when Cameroon international Allan Nyom was shown a straight red card for a reckless tackle on Adri Embarba with Alvaro Garcia converting a rebound to put both sides on level a couple of minutes later.
Youssef En-Nesyri sealed maximum points for the Cucumber Growers with five minutes left on the clock when he rose highest in Vallecano’s penalty area to head Oscar Rodriguez’s cross to the back of the net.
“Well deserved victory with 10 men away from home.. 💪🏾💪,” reads a tweet on Omeruo’s twitter handle.
Omeruo was in action for the entire duration of the game with Leganes climbing four places to 13th spot in the league table.
The Estadio Municipal de Butarque outfit will return to action with a home game against Real Betis on Sunday.
