Naby Keita Liverpool midfielder hopes to be reunited with his former RB Leipzig team-mate Timo Werner at Anfield. Keita made the move from Leipzig to Liverpool over the summer in a deal that had been struck a year earlier.
The Reds have been heavily linked with another raid on the Red Bull Arena for 22-year-old striker Werner, who will enter the final year of his Leipzig deal at the end of the campaign.
The Bundesliga club haven’t given up on convincing Werner to extend his stay but the likelihood is he will move on – although Liverpool will face competition to sign him in the summer.

Bayern Munich have also been credited with an interest but Keita, 24, believes he will be able to persuade the Germany international to move to the Premier League. “We played very well together in Leipzig, and he was one of my best friends there,” Keita told Sport Bild. “It’s clear: if he’ll be on the move, I’ll ask Timo to join us here at Liverpool.”
