Giorgio Chiellini has compared Juventus team-mate Moise Kean to the likes of David Trezeguet and Mario Balotelli. Kean is enjoying a breakthrough season at the Allianz Stadium and he came off the bench to net the only goal of the game as Juve beat Empoli by a goal to nil on Saturday.
That capped an impressive week for the 19-year-old, who scored in both of Italy’s Euro 2020 qualifiers against Finland and Liechtenstein, and he has now received high praise from his club and international colleague Chiellini, who has compared him to Marseille forward Balotelli and former Juventus star Trezeguet. “Kean attacks the space and pushes forward in the most extraordinary way,” Chiellini told reporters. “Kean has more physicality than Mario.

His goal against Empoli was almost in the Trezeguet style. Mario might have more of an eye for goal, but Kean has a better shot from distance and attacks the space a lot more.” Chiellini feels if Kean continues to develop at the same rate then he is destined for a bright future in the game and he believes the teenager is learning under the right coach in Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri.
“He just has to carry on doing what he’s doing this season, work hard and ensure he is ready when called upon,” the centre back added. “There are few Coaches who’d be able to help his progress more than Massimiliano Allegri.”
