British heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua says he is on the road to redemption in Saudi Arabia against Andy Ruiz Jr.
But he will hope it doesn’t take three times to crack Andy Ruiz Jnr like it did his driving test.
Joshua, 30, needs to stop his career going in reverse as he looks to belt up again by regaining the WBO, IBF and WBA titles against the Mexican-American.
It was six months ago when Joshua’s career stalled dramatically as Ruiz floored him four times before stopping him in the seventh.
His American debut at Madison Square Garden had turned into a car crash, a little more serious than the failed exam Joshua explains it as.
“It’s an exam,” said the Watford warrior. “You go through it once, you fail. Most people fail their first driving test. I’m better prepared this time. I’m well prepared.
“I think I passed my third driving and I went automatic as well!
“You may see that the energy in this fight will be different to last time.
“I think I’ll be able to talk more after. I don’t want it to sound like excuses and stuff like that but I think there’s a reason why people lose.”
