Jorginho, Emerson made history in Chelsea’s Super Cup win against Villarreal on Wednesday in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
After 120 minutes of football ended 1-1, Chelsea went on to win 6-5 on penalties to land their first Super Cup title since 1998.
Following the win, Jorginho and Emerson are the first players in football history to win the UEFA Champions League, European Championship and Super Cup in the same year.
While for Jorginho, he is the only player that has played in every final.
Jorginho came in during the second half and converted one of Chelsea’s spot kick while Emerson was an unused substitute.
Chelsea broke the deadlock in the 27th minute through Hakim Ziyech before Gerard Moreno equalised for Villarreal.
The game dragged on without both side finding the winner which was eventually settled via penalty shootout.
Kepa Arrizabalaga emerged the hero for the Blues as he made two saves to land Chelsea’s second UEFA Super Cup title.
