Jonny Otto has joined Wolves on a permanent basis from Atletico Madrid after spending the first-half of the season on loan at Molineux.
The 24-year-old initially moved to the Black Country on a season-long loan deal from Atleti and he has been a regular during the first half of the campaign, scoring once in 20 Premier League appearances to date.
The Spain international’s performances have been enough to convince Wolves to make the move a permanent one and he has signed a deal with Nuno Espirito Santo’s side that runs until the summer of 2023.
Wolves have reportedly paid £18million to secure the services of the versatile wing-back, which equals the club-record fee they paid Middlesbrough to sign Adama Traore during the summer.
Jonny admits it was an easy decision to make his move to Molineux permanent and he is looking forward to enjoying further success with the club.
“I’m very happy to sign for Wolves,” Jonny told the club website. “The last few days we spoke about it and now it’s official, I’ll be Wolves for the next four years.
I’m really happy to continue to be involved with the team. “I am very happy here, the truth is that it was very easy to decide. They are treating me very well, there are great staff, great team mates and great supporters. It is a big club and really, I am very happy to be here.”
