Goals from Tom O’Connor and Jamie Bradley-Green saw Southampton through to the Hampshire Senior Cup semi-finals on Tuesday.
O’Connor scored with a well-executed free-kick in the first half before Bradley-Green secured the result against Wessex League outfit Bournemouth Poppies with an instinctive finish from Will Ferry’s corner.

Radhi Jaidi’s young side weathered a spell of concerted pressure from their hard-working hosts but wasted a number of chances to make matters easier for themselves.
Jonathan Afolabi slipped after getting in behind the home defence and Tyreke Johnson dragged a half-volley wide before O’Connor was denied at point-blank within five minutes of the second-half restart.
Jaidi’s side go on to face Martin Kuhl’s Evo-Stik Premier Division outfit Basingstoke Town, who have already booked their ticket to the last four with a 7-0 caning of Fareham Town, in the semi-finals.
