Kenny Jackett has revealed he will be looking into the possibility of bringing Cardiff City striker Omar Bogle back to Portsmouth.
After failing to make an impact at Cardiff since joining from Wigan in 2017, Bogle joined Birmingham on a season-long loan last summer, but just one goal from 15 Championship appearances resulted in the temporary stint being cut short in January.
Just a day after returning to Wales, the 25-year-old was sent to Portsmouth for the remainder of the campaign and he enjoyed a decent spell in League One, scoring four goals from 13 games.
Injuries did hamper the Englishman’s progress at Fratton Park but Jackett, who failed to guide Pompey to promotion to the Championship, says he will consider signing Bogle again. “Cardiff have come down into the Championship,” he said. “For Omar, anyway, we will consider him along with all of the other loans.

We’ll see whether it is a possibility or a consideration in terms of Omar coming back and fulfilling the potential that we have seen in him. “He had a frustrating couple of injuries – first a niggling hamstring and then a groin injury the last game of the season when he would have played. There were glimpses in that loan spell and we will consider him now along with all the loan players.”
