Nigeria winger Alex Iwobi put up a fine performance as Everton moved out of the bottom three after goals from Bernard and Gylfi Sigurdsson gave The Toffees a 2-0 win over West Ham at the Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon, reports Completesports.com.
West Ham missed the chance to move up to third temporarily after a second straight loss, and they remain in eighth place – only two points ahead of Everton in 12th.
Iwobi was replaced by Gyfil Sigurdsson three minutes from time.
He has made seven league appearances for the Toffees and scored once.
Brazilian winger Bernard opened scoring for the hosts in the 17th minute from a tight angle after he was set up by Theo Walcott.
Everton who were good value for their victory, had to wait until stoppage time to put the seal on a much-improved performance through substitute Sigurdsson’s superb strike.
