Alex Iwobi claimed he should be scoring on a regular basis for Fulham, reports Completesports.com.
Iwobi scored twice in Fulham’s 3-1 victory over Brighton and Hove Albion at the Craven Cottage on Thursday night.
The 28-year-old has now registered three goals and two assists in his last four appearances for the Cottagers.

The Nigeria international challenged himself to score on a consistent basis for Marco Silva’s side.
He stated to Amazon Prime post-game: “We wanted to get a win on the board after our last game against Spurs. No better place to do it than at our place. I should be getting more goals but it was good to them for the team.
“We know Brighton like to play and so do we. I was able to capitalise on the high press.
“We know that Brighton like to play out from the back so we came up with a structure and it obviously worked for the first goal. We take it, however, it goes in, a goal is a goal. we wanted a goal from a set piece because we were a real threat last season.”

It is a good sign for the Super Eagles that Alex Iwobi is experiencing a purple patch in front of goal for Fulham.
We have make-or-mar world cup qualifiers in about 3 months time. So, having midfielders who have discovered a route to goal can only be a good thing for our chances.
Whether it be Eguavoen or a new foreign coach at the Super Eagles dugout in March, the players still have to do the deed on the pitch.
With 4 goals in his last 6 games in the English Premier League for Fulham, Iwobi is definitely doing the deed in front of goal.
To reproduce that sort of ruthlessness for Nigeria in March will be gold.
Alex Iwobi gets a bad rap from a section of the Super Eagles fan base. You have to go back to 2022 for the last time he scored a goal for the national team. Assists, which used to be his stock-in-trade for Nigeria have also dried up recently.
I for one still hold him dear for Nigeria. Goals and assists have dried up due to Iwobi being played more as a centre midfielder, a position I think he performs with professionalism.
Should he be moved further up the pitch for March’s qualifiers, I have no doubt we are likely to see this reincarnation if Iwobi firing on all cylinders.
Beautiful UI. And the font is soft on the eye, carefully selected. Eye navigation spot on too. Thumbs up, CSN.
We need all invited SE players to bring their A games to play when the qualifiers resume in March. And if there’s consistently an imbalance between their club form and national team displays, then the carpenter or furniture makers needs to be changed or assigned a TA. It means the tools are okay.
All hands must be on deck and the new coaching crew must understand the best roles these players are deployed in their clubs to get the best out of them. Don’t play them in unfamiliar or unnatural positions.
I still believe in the WC 2026 ticket for Nigeria. Eguavoen needs help or should excuse himself. If funding is the issue, Gusau should push for it and ask help, even if it requires crowd funding. Lol (Or PMSL ). Time to act is now. Still not late.
