Alex Iwobi was the hero for Fulham as his stoppage time goal earned the London club a shock 2-1 win against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Calvin Bassey scored his first-ever goal for Fulham when he gave them the lead in the 65th minute.
Harry Maguire equalized for United in the 89th minute, pouncing on a rebound before Iwobi’s bagged a 97th minute strike.

The late goal means Iwobi is the first Fulham player to score a winning goal at Old Trafford since Steed Malbranque in October 2003.
Also, the goal helped Fulham claim a first win against United since 2009.
Meanwhile, Saturday’s goal took Iwobi’s tally in the Premier League to four this season.

I think veteran coach Jose Peseiro must put Alex Iwobi as right winger , cause he is effective in attacking side , than to put him in defensive side, so in the next friendly match versus World champion Argentina; he can score goals , can play through passes and crosses passes; also in World Cup quifier versus South Africa he can dislocate South Africa defence; in defensive midfield Peseiro can put Onyeka and Wilfred Ndidi as defensive and attacking midfielder; the next Super Eagles line-up versus Argentina must be as follows: Nwabali- Ajayi,Ekong,Bassey- Oneyka,Ndidi,Aina, Onyamaechi-Iwobi,Lookman,Osimhen…
You get it
They really make us proud.
The following are what make the victory sweet:
1. Both of them are Nigerian
2. The match was at Old Trafford
3. The defeat that Onana ( Cameroon goal keeper) dodge at afcon was given to him by the two Nigerian that also played Cameroon at afcon.
God bless Nigeria.
Iwobi and Bassey saw Onana and thought they were playing against Cameroon.
@Hassan is like you don’t know Mr. Peseiro he will still stick to his loyal son Zaidu. The guy was the number 1 culprit in making super Eagles struggle to keep possession along with Iwobi eventhough Iwobi situation was excusable as the Coach used him in an unfamiliar role thereby rendering him incapable.
We just gifted the AFCON to Ivory Coast which was very disappointing. The Coach disappoint himself, the players & Nigerians. After he almost won the heart of all SE fans eventhough he was playing ugly football. Only if Aina who was injured, Zaidu & Chukwueze were not in that match, the Ivory Coast won’t even have seen a draw in regulation time of 90 minutes talkless of grabbing the winner.
A fit Aina won’t be messed up by Adingra and am pretty sure he can’t get past Osayi because he’s as good as Aina but no thanks to food poisoning that slow him down.
Your line up is decent but i will prefer Boniface or Ihaenacho taking Iwobi spot if both are fit but and in form otherwise Iwobi can be tested there. Don’t forget we still have Nathan Tella in the rank and a resurgent Chidera Ejuke who is also very creative with his dribbling skills.
In the defence, I’m looking forward to see the addition of Igho Ogbu, Gabriel Osho & Tosin Adarabioyo. In midfield, the return of Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, and ddition of 1 or 2 creative midfielders who can step up to the playmaker role. However i have this believe that Lookman or Ihaenacho can be decent in that role
