Super Eagles midfielder, Alex Iwobi says he can’t wait to win trophies with Everton.
The 23-year-old joined the Toffees on a five-year deal from Arsenal for a fee of an initial £28million deal – which could rise to £34m with add-ons.
Iwobi, who has won the FA Cup and Community Shield for Arsenal during his spell with the London club, has declared his intention of replicating it at Everton.
Ancelotti’s Everton are still in the mix for European football this season, potentially the Champions League, but the Toffees’ wait for a first piece of silverware since 1995 will go on into next season.
However, in an interview with Daily Mail, Iwobi said that he can’t wait to win more trophies for Everton and the senior national team.
“It’s crazy when everyone tells me all these stats like the appearances and caps I’ve got. I’ve had a decent career so far considering my age,’ though he was keen to stress his achievements so far have only left him determined ‘to achieve more in the game, to win more trophies and play more for Nigeria.’
