What a game between Spurs and Everton.
End to end stuff. Amazing one-touch passing by Spurs, especially in the first half.
But the player that caught my eye was Everton’s Andre Gomes. He hadn’t played in months before this game. He enters the fray to replace Gueye in the second half, and puts in a massive shift. He even scores their only goal.
Talk about justifying your selection. Gomes thoroughly did that today.
Sean Dyche now has himself a selection problem. He usually plays 3 midfielders, and he has to select them from Doucoure, Onana, Gueye, Garner, and the resurgent Gomes.
But then, coaches love these kind of problems. I’m certain Mr. Dyche is not complaining.
