Galatasaray assistant coach Ismael Gomez has showered encomium on Victor Osimhen, reports Completesports.com.
Osimhen has been in fantastic form since linking up with the Yellow and Reds on loan from Serie A club Napoli.
The Nigeria international has scored eight goals in nine appearances across all competitions for the Turkish Super Lig champions.

Gomez praised the powerful striker for his exemplary qualities.
“Last season, Icardi dominated the league not only with the number of goals he scored but also with the assists. This is what we want from Osimhen, to dominate the matches and the league like Icardi,”he told Marca.
“He attracts the attention of the entire opponent’s defence line. He can create positions on his own. It is really difficult to see a football player with his athletic capacity in the world. It is not easy to find a player who combines his height, speed and coordination level.”

I agree with u totally. Osihmen ticks so many boxes which many strikes dont. Its a better all round Striker than Hallaan
Osimhen takes Nigeria to the World.
Osimhen is a soccer beast because when he is inside the field of play, he attracts the attention of his opponents and thereby making it possible for his teamate to soccer, but boniface is so weak because he is never a threat to his opponents.
So weak???? A player scoring for fun in Europe is so weak???? Are you for real????
He is not weak. We are weak on our parts. Don’t play him as a top striker in Nigeria or Africa. No two players are the same.
Let him play from the left in a three man attack in 433 or behind the main striker in a 442 or 352. Then don’t start him yet. Let him come in as a substitute. Give him some time to gain his confidence back for the nation team.
If he is scoring in Europe he is still useful to us.
But I ll like to see desser come to deputize for Oshimen.
Desser though also struggled I’m some matches but he has two goals already. He is experienced and he is also scoring. Let Boniface watch him start for eagles to gain his confidence back.
Osimhen is undeniably a phenomenal striker—one of Nigeria’s finest exports to global football. His pace, strength, and lethal finishing make him a nightmare for defenders. However, one area he urgently needs to refine is his spatial awareness. Too often, he’s caught offside, especially against well-organized defenses.
This recurring issue isn’t just about technicality; it’s also about judgment. A striker of his caliber should anticipate the defensive line better and time his runs more intelligently. When up against teams backed by overly vigilant officials, this flaw becomes glaring, limiting his ability to dominate as he should.
Frankly, Osimhen could have easily been the top scorer at AFCON and surpassed Rashidi Yekini’s goal record by now if not for this shortcoming. Yet, despite this, he remains one of the greatest strikers Nigeria has ever produced. Kudos to everyone who has contributed to his rise—they’ve gifted us a generational talent. Here’s hoping he continues to evolve and refine his game to reach even greater heights. God bless Victor Osimhen!
