“It’s amazing, I thank God, I thank my team mates, all the staff for all the support. I had my best match in an Ajax shirt today (Thursday) so I’m happy,” Akpom told Ajax TV.
“Scoring is what I thrive on, it’s what I love to do, so when it’s not happening it gets frustrating but I’m a very positive and persistent person, so I say thank you to the coach for the trust.”
The former PAOK Salonica star also reflected on his goals.
“The first one was like a big weight off my shoulders and I had to take the penalty because if anyone was also on a hat-trick, I’d have given them,”he added.
