Fulham coach Marco Silva said it was not easy for the Super Eagles duo of Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey to recover from Libya’s ordeal.
The Super Eagles were held hostage by the Libyan authorities at the Al Abraq airport after their plane was prevented from landing in Benghazi.
Speaking in a pre-match press conference ahead of Fulham’s game against Aston Villa in the Premier League today, Silva said that the first two days were tough for them to recover from everything.
: “It’s another example of mixed feelings and balance because when the players go to their national teams to play for their countries, to be proud of that moment, we all expect, firstly, that they come in healthy to play the next match for us.

“Secondly that they can perform at a good level, to help them, and to keep their fitness, their momentum as well, and of course the last and probably the most important thing, that they can enjoy football, they can enjoy playing for their countries.
“And for sure, it was not a moment that Calvin, Alex and their teammates enjoyed for sure. It’s not something professional, it’s not something normal. It’s not something that should be involved in football, to be honest.
“They are back again with us. The first two days were tough for them to recover from everything but they are going to be ready for sure.”

Nigeria need to present their case very well for heavy punishment to land on Libya.
Effect of the evil that Libya did to Super Eagles must be included when Nigeria is presenting their case and this is one of the evidence.
Libya must not be permitted to play home games in their country for the next twenty years.
The Libyans did what they intentionally caf should punish them so that it can serve as a lesson.
The Libyans succeeded in giving themselves a bad name. The world won’t forget this issue in a hurry. It will affect the sellability of their national team as well as the country. Am sure this was not what they expected when they were planning their payback for the alleged bad treatment they received in Nigeria. They over did things and certainly to the wrong target. They had been doing this to Nigerian clubsides like they have been touted to have done in the past without repercussions. This certainly will serve as a deterrent to them if CAF sanctions them appropriately. They took things too far
