‘It Was An Incredible One’ — Osimhen Talks Up Superb Strike In Galatasaray’s Win Over Antalyaspor

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has reacted to his remarkable strike in Galatasaray’s 3-0 win at Antalyaspor.

Osimhen, who was named among the substitutes in the game scored the visitors third goal with a superb overhead kick in stoppage time.

The 25-year-old had another goal chalked off by the centre referee.

The Nigeria international dedicated the goal to manager Okan Buruk, who celebrated his birthday on Saturday.

“The goal was an incredible one. We got three points from here, I am very happy for that. I dedicate this goal to our coach, today is his birthday,” Osimhen told the club’s official website.

“When we look at the first half, we were not that good, we took the lead thanks to the goals scored by Mauro and we were able to play much better in the second half. We had a four -day holiday and as a result we rested well, now we will continue in the same way.”

Osimhen has now scored three league goals for the Turkish Super Lig champions this season.

Lmao..Even someone on a wheel chair can stay in the other half of the pitch and still score a goal as incredible as that…yes the league is as soft as that…

Who do osimehn like this? Ok maybe the Ogun is now dealing with the sender…cos sometimes I wonder if he is under a spell…I mean how can you call for a press conference so you can talk about a goal scored in a league who’s tempo and quality is far below the best of leagues in the world… lmao.

Can’t believe osimehn can be this petty and can go this low…

No be the same league wey ONUACHO dey design with wonders of harttricks be this with a small club then… And the guy no make noice…na him osimehn they celebrate like this .. lmao

    Smh ..

  • Osimhen has tried to score with a bicycle kick several times in the Super Eagles’ shirt. He tried it in the WCQ against Ghana here and then tried it in the QF match against Cameroun at the last Afcon (this one would have gone in, but Calvin Bassey put his head in and over the bar, so Osimhen halted his move mid-way).

I think sometimes we underestimate how lucky we are to have Osimhen, as well as Lookman. These guys are genuises when you watch them closely. They’re not 2 of the best in the SE but in the entire world. Take these 2 out of SE matches and we struggle to score. Osimhen recently said there are few players at his level in the world, and that’s an absolute fact.

Would be a travesty if we miss WC 2026 with the riches of talents we currently have. Also watching Okoye keeping out AC Milan yesterday in Udinese shirt, before his countryman, Chkuwueze finally bested him. Never thought we’ll have a goalkeeper on the bench keeping out some of the best players in the world in Serie A.
