Nigeria forward Jerome Akor says he is adapting to life at new club Montpellier, reports Completesports.com.
Akor switched Norwegian outfit, Lillestrom for the Ligue 1 side in the summer.
The former Flying Eagles striker has however settled down well at the club.
The 23-year-old reflected on life with La Paillade.
“I didn’t do the summer preparation, arriving only a week before the start of the championship,” Akor was quoted by AllezPaillade.
“It takes time, but I think after three months now, the chemistry is good. The people are really nice, and everyone helps me so that I fit in well. In each team, people must be increasingly aware that they can depend on you more and more.
“I arrived trying to find chemistry and a good understanding. Honestly, so far, it’s going well. I’m not going to get a pass with every call for the ball, I know that, but we have brilliant players like Téji, Mousa, Joris, Jordan, Wahbi.
“We’re getting that chemistry going; it’s going well until here. I don’t want to complain even though maybe there should be more passes to me. I can’t complain.”
Akor has scored seven goals in 10 league outings for Montpellier this season.
Only Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe has scored more goals than him (10) in the French top-flight this season.
Akor was named in Ligue 1 Team of the Month for October.
He will come face to face with his compatriot Terem Moffi when Montpellier face OGC Nice in a Ligue 1 clash on Friday.
