Sparta Rotterdam goalkeeper Maduka Okoye says he will continue to do his best for the club after he was attacked by Vitesse Arnhem fans last weekend, reports Completesports.com.
Okoye was in superb form in the encounter, making nine crucial saves and also stopping a penalty.
The Nigeria international was attacked by the home fans late in the game with Sparta Rotterdam leading 1-0 prompting the referee to suspend the game.
The 22-year-old is however unperturbed the poor treatment from the opposition fans and is determined to help his club avoid the drop this season.

“I have never experienced anything like this. So far, I only knew something like that from television,” Okoye was quoted by wz.de.
“These so-called fans probably didn’t know that it only pushes me even more. It just made me hotter.
“I’m very optimistic about the upcoming games. If we stick together, then we will stay in this league.”
Sparta occupy bottom spot on the table with 17 points from 23 games.
Henk Fraser’s men will face Go Ahead Eagles in their next league game on Saturday.
