Inter Milan are keen to do a deal for Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka but could have to pay as much as £55million to get him on board. Inter are now coached by former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, who is keen to bolster his newly inherited squad ahead of the new Serie A season, with Xhaka said to be a target.

The Switzerland international has had an inconsistent season for the Gunners, with boss Unai Emery happy to cash in if the Nerazzurri will match the £55million valuation. That would allow him to reinvest in his own squad, and with money tight at the Emirates Stadium, reports are claiming that Emery is keen to get a deal done.
Arsenal paid £35million to sign Xhaka back in 2016, so selling him on for a substantial profit, would be a good return on a player, who failed to live up to expectations. However, Conte clearly rates him highly following his time in England and there is a chance they could hook up at the San Siro sooner rather than later.
